We took our team out to 49 Rivers Ranch for our team windup. The girls had amazing time. The host was fantastic, she was kind and caring to all the girls needs. Everything from the horseback riding, to the petting of the farm animals and to cook out was great. I would highly recommend 49 Rivers Ranch.

Do not recommend. I was told the horses would be saddled ahead of time. Party started at 1pm. They were not. We brushed them for over an hour. We loved giving the horses attention they are so sweet we didn't mind and let it slide. Dj the owner was rude to adults and the kids. She apologized a few times for being rude which was nice of her. We tried to shrug it off. But we should have left then, as everyone was uncomfortable and the owner was not prepared. We were polite, patient and understanding and tried to give her a hand. Teaching methods are old school, having a loud voice, slapping reins down, and making them feel stupid is not acceptable. It's difficult to understand strange instructions or answer strange questions when you are scared of the person. I can guarantee the kids are well mannered and tried their very best and did nothing wrong! One child ended up crying because of her. All of the kids were unsettled. Dj got upset at me for tying a horse in its wrong spot and tried to lecture me as I was helping this kid off of the horse. My daughter was now upset and wasn't even on her horse yet at her own party (330pm now). She was a good sport and rode a few rounds, trying to hold in tears. But only after everyone else got off and left the arena. Dj generously offered my daughter another horse to ride but my daughter politely declined, she wanted to get the hell out of there because we had endured plenty. The horses themselves were amazing! The kids got to pet the cute kittens as we waited for someone bring another vehicle to rescue us. No one wanted to stay for the petting zoo or campfire. Then DJ came at me with the excuses, health, time etc. We left as soon as we could. Hopefully these kids won't remember this horrible experience, or it will be forever remembered as the terrible place she had (the first part of) her 12th birthday. We went someplace else and tried to salvage the day. That was our birthday party experience.

All that being said, if you don't mind putting up with an undersocialized grumbily lady for an afternoon when you have nothing else to do, go for it. The aminals are amazing and make up for it. Talking to a few parents after about what had happened, at least 6 different people throughout the years had below average to bad experiences like ours at 49 rivers ranch. Honestly I wish I had read ALL of the reviews not just the "5 stars" and asked around first!

This person is the reason my friend’s horse passed away. The poor thing was starved and dehydrated. Complete neglect. If you love your animal, do not take it to stay here. It’ll arrive healthy and leave knocking on death’s doorstep.

I boarded my horse here for 8 months and I regret it every day. This woman will not feed your horse enough and then gas light you into thinking its your fault your horse is losing weight. After consulting my vet of 20 years he made me promise not to take her back there. After 3 months of the proper amount of hay my mare already was looking better. DJ had me believing my horse turned into an old/hard keeper overnight. Which was far from the truth. She acts like shes gods gift to the horse world and its just not the case at all. Please Please do not board your horse here. I have had panic attacks and nightmares for over a year from this woman!

I bought a horse off this women and she was underfed. She only started feeding her proper after we exchanged the money. She said my horse was a hard keeper yet she is fat on grass. I put weight on this horse in -50C weather, we had storms of the decade. This woman has no excuse. DJ is childish and unprofessional. Always boasting about her skills and talent yet she still lacks talent on proper feeding. Avoid this woman. She must be ill to think this is okay

DO NOT BOARD HERE. Deejay has continuously neglected animals, boarded or not. SPCA is very aware of her behaviour. Do not waste your money and trust this woman with your animals, she doesn't feed or have adequate water on her property. When confronted about it she is rude and blames it on weather, marital issues, or the boarder themself. All these people who have voted her up are friends of hers who are trying to help cover her horrible behaviour! STAY CLEAR OF 49 RIVERS RANCH.

Do not board there!!!! If I could give this a -1 star I would. Boarding there was a huge mistake. Dj is so rude, disrespectful and is a nightmare to deal with as a client. She only cares about the money. My horse was under fed and sometimes not even fed, I have before and after pictures of how my horse looked after boarding with her for 8 months and the pictures are shocking. Sure go do her little petting zoo tour but don't board your horse there.
