A wonderful experience. It was our guides first time doing a tour and he absolutely rocked it! I think his name was Ethan and he knew so much about the history. Not just what was on the walls but also stuuf that he could only know by genuinly caring about the museum. Overall it was a great stop and the coolest place in all of Botwood 10/10.

Really interesting to see and read about Botwood's 15 minutes of fame as it went from an obscure fishing village to the world stage and back again. At one point, anyone traveling from North America to Europe was flying from Botwood. The young fellow working there was very friendly and knowledgeable as well, answering all the questions we had. We spent at least an hour there, including an 18 minute movie.

Not a huge museum, but definitely filled with Botwood's history. Staff were super helpful with organizing an off-season tour for us! Artifacts and models were used to tell a compelling story.

Must-see when in Botwood, and as a bonus, an old PBY Catalina / Canso is parked outside year-round.

Easy to get there. Too bad the season closes the inner museum too early into September:(
