🚨🚨🚨HUNTERS DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE ‼️‼️‼️
My son and I got our first Elk, a huge bull elk that we were so excited for. Took it to them a week ago. Went to pick up our Elk today and I was there for an hour because they lost some of the animal and couldn’t find it if you can believe that. 3 guys looking and couldn’t find it. The Owner finally showed up half hour later when I requested to speak to him and they finally found it. That was the first F-up. Second one is they made 40lbs of roasts, steaks and —- 100lbs of ground Elk !!! What kind of butcher makes that much of the animal all into ground (we brought them well cared for quarters, even they said it was good when they first saw it). They not know what there doing? Third we brought them 378lbs of Elk and got 143lbs back. No way that’s all it would yield. What a joke this place is. We worked hard and spent a lot of money hunting and getting this Elk and this butcher screwed us. Find yourself another butcher that couldn’t possibly screw up near what these people can.
* Update: the 1” steaks are cut 1/2” and the pepperoni tastes like garbage and will be dog food I suppose. Brutal.
* Another update: Get this! These people called my son yesterday (3 weeks later!!) to tell him to come get the rest of the Elk as they found more somewhere in the shop!. Lots of it too. Probably over 50lbs!! You can’t imagine a worse butcher to take your animal to. They offered no compensation, no rebates no money back NOTHING!. Owners were there when my son picked it up and didn’t even offer up an apology. Just business as usual for these idiots I guess.

4 years ago we brought in moose, it was outstanding, especially the Smokies and pepperoni. 5 stars!!
This year, moose took longer than expected, roasts and summer sausage are superb, but Smokies and pepperoni aren't very good. 3 stars. Average score of 4.

I've had them butcher about a dozen animals for me over the last couple years. Every single time there was multiple mistakes that with my order that cost me but I was always patient. I'm out of patience.

Owners treat their staff with no respect and that's why they can't keep employees, and that's why it's non stop screw ups.

Last time they ruined and lost a small fortune worth of meat. Even had an employee offer to give me someone else's meat (not even the same species and who knows where it was from) to replace my stuff that was lost. I had to get BBB involved to get compensation after several months of trying on my own.

I will be a vegetarian before they get a single cent from me again.

Brought in a fully grown cow moose in 1/4 pieces plus a bunch of bags of deboned meat cost me 1350$ I only got 100 pounds of sausage back and the rest was lost somewhere. After 3 days on the phone Rob did give me half my money back but still a lot of money for 100 pounds of sausage. Took me 5 years to get my moose draw and don’t get to eat any moose other then a small amount of sausage if it is actually moose. If you want more then 25% of your meat back do not go to this place

I had 7 beef done there . Cut and wrapped Had my customers fill out cut and wrap sheets . The cryvac everything all 7 . I called to talk to owner who was never in always an excuse why he can’t call me back. I said I wanted steaks only cryvac and the reply by text was he never agreed to that . But u fill a cut sheet out how we want it cut he up charged it and u have to pay . I also text him asking is that the price for all 7 he Asian reply’s back yes . Next day go in to pay there’s a $800 more owed . And when I said u told me that was the price he then said he made the bill him self that was a lie the girl in the shop did it in front of us . Rob the owner never calls u back holds ur meat till u pay his up charge. And going through the beef it was not cut to mine or my customers request. . I’m in the start of the whole court thing now it’s a shame a business like that they do this to there customers. If any one out there is thinking about getting an animal processed there at sixth on the block. I’d really think twice as if u do get something done there I’ll be the next person posting on this review page .as u see in text from the owner saying he didn’t agree on what gets cryvac. And saying there was lots brown wrapped not one package out of 7 beef was brown wrapped. And him saying in the text he did the bill no he did not the girl at the shop did as the owner has not been there since Xmas the girl at shop said. Two weeks he was sick the family emergency two weeks that excuse . Do not use that criminal

Salt of the earth owners, Pam and her staff are all absolutely wonderful!! And the quality and taste of everything we've tried is next level 👌🏽 The candied bacon should be illegal because it is highly addictive lol The burgers are truly the best burgers we've ever had ! And the deli meats are phenomenal! Especially the jalapeño cottage roll !! Thanks for everything you do guys !!

Absolutely top shelf products and service! Ever since our first visit/purchase we have returned often. The quality of the meat and the cuts are amazing. Do you want a 2" thick rib steak? They will cut it for you! Brisket? Heck ya, don't have a smoker? They smoke briskets and you can buy them! So many amazing different products (hello pepperoni 's, ect) made fresh on site.
Last but not least, the service. Pam, Robert and their staff are fantastic. Always smiling and willing to help you pick out the perfect protein for your carnivore delight. We have recommended their shop to so many people and will continue to do so.

I love this place. Service and quality is absolutely first class.

I'd drive from Edmonton just for the quality of people and meats. I also get my eggs from them. Actually farm eggs.
