Such a great experience the effect of just walking through the greenhouse is an instant calming effect. I learned so much from Annette about the plethora of gorgeous plants and their off grid living. I can’t recommend enough, my family are big into gardening so we book a tour whenever we have visitors and they absolutely adore it! I visited the Exotic Fruit Nursery with my friends today (July 14) and was blown away with the tour. The owner has grown an impressive collection of fruit trees that I hadn't even imagined could grow in the Nova Scotian climate, near the ocean no less. I enjoyed the tour and learned so much. All questions were welcomed. Highly recommend

It is amazing what Annette has done in such a short time in establishing a beautiful greenhouse experience with visions for the future. This week I took part in a workshop about disease prevention & treatment of fruit trees at the Exotic Fruit Nursury in Front Center. It was EXCELLENT!

Annette Clarke, the owner, works using natural organic methods; with dramatic success. Her knowledge is exceptional & the variety of exotic trees is is growing and selling is impressive. Plus her farm and greenhouse are places you won’t want to leave.

Visit, take a tour, do a workshop or utilize her consultation service.

Went with my wife to the nursery on a whim. What a beautiful location. Had a wonderful tour with the guide / owner Annette. Got to try a few of the grapes that were growing. WOW!!! Highly recommended for a visit!!!

We went without any appointments and Annette was kind enough to still do the tour for us!

It's a beautiful project: two impressive greenhouses full of wonderful fruiting trees and bushes —some of them I had never heard about, others I thought I'd never see in Nova Scotia, like the strawberry trees that grow wild in the Mediterranean, a pair of which has found their home in this incredible place.
The ponds outside are full of cute frogs and in the orchards grow many fruit trees as well. It also serves as a plant nursery selling things like fig trees, mulberry bushes and even the rare native North American paw-paw tree. The gift shop is cute and sometimes carries some of the fruit grown there, but there wasn't any for sale today!
Overall it's a lovely place if you're interested in botany, gardening and the general art of growing edible plants. It's also an inspiring personal passion project that will hopefully continue to develop in the future.
I'll be sure to come back then and admire the growing fruits of Annette's hard work and impressive know-how! Danke für alles und bis bald!

the experience of visiting the grounds and greenhouse alone was worth the visit, and add to that the opportunity to be able to chat with the owner and learn so much about the incredible variety of edible plants that can grow locally, it was just such a privilege. 100% will be going back soon for more plants!
