We bought our beautiful yellow lab from them and I have nothing but good things to say. They were very quick to respond and keep correspondence and they gave us lots of information when we picked him up. Our boy was already acclimated to getting his claws trimmed and his demeanour is so gentle and loving. Our vet said he is the most gorgeous lab she has ever seen. Thank you wildbrook kennels!

Purchased both my labs from Wildbrook kennels. Gabe back in 2001 and Daisy in 2012. Nancy’s dogs are great. I’m so thankful to have had The opportunity to have purchased our labs from there. Great people to deal with & their dogs have everything the breed is known for. I miss my boy everyday. He passed away due to old age. He was always a loyal, loving & devoted pet. You will find quality dogs with loving personalities at Wildbrook!

"Best Retriever Breeder in Atlantic Canada"

Picking up the pup from the breeder is a big day indeed. I have had dogs from good breeders before in years past, yet my experience with Wildbrook Kennels in Bridgewater area, Nova Scotia was exceptional. I have always thought that choosing the right loving companion, no matter the breed, was a combination of the dog itself, and the experience, dedication, commitment, and compassion of the breeder. Nancy stands in high regard for good reason. Over 25 years breeding her English Style Labrador Retrievers and almost as long with the Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, she was mentored by fine breeder names in Canada that became her close friends as well as colleagues in subsequent years. The premises featured large indoor kennel areas and expansive outdoor open play areas where we could see the pups and Wildbrook’s breeding parents having fun. The pups are the result of years of careful breeding for exceptional physical and mental standards. Yet it all means nothing without the love she shows them. When we picked up our little black retriever girl, Nancy was holding her while explaining the paperwork to us. Her caring and sincere compassion for the pup was certainly obvious. The pup was bathed, groomed, nails cut, and all ready for her world debut. The paperwork was all completed by Nancy beforehand, and the process was quick and most professional. From CKC registration to microchip docs, vaccination to complete health records, all were compiled in an easy to understand, and vet ready transition format.
Nancy provided us a huge bag of premium Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy Food, as well as Eukanuba training treats, discount coupons, and guides. With her complete feeding and caring profile, as well as some initial getting settled and training tips, we felt so confident and pleased with our decision to go with Nancy and Wildbrook Kennels.
Penny, the beautiful pup of about 9 weeks is a calm, yet playful, addition to the family. She is full of health and confidence, and is surprisingly well-adjusted and well-behaved for such a young pup. It’s a definite testament to how much time, love, and care Nancy has dedicated to all her dogs.
Thank you so much, Nancy. You made this family very happy. You are a blessing to the profession and the retriever breed.

Maybe they’re okay at breeding dogs, I have no idea but they must be if they’re still around. But DON’T send your dogs there to be boarded. We sent our two dogs there for two weeks this past summer when we had a last minute family emergency. Our research showed no red flags but we were devastated when we picked them up. The blanket we sent them with to sleep on was covered completely in urine and feces, they both had eye infections that were a pain in the ass to get rid of, one dog was afraid to eat for months after and they were absolutely miserable. Clearly they weren’t afforded the attention/care they deserve.
