Came home to a disgusting sewer like smell….after turkey had been cooking …. Went to slice turkey when the black drumstick fell over to find cooked mouse and what appeared to look like mouse poop (definitely wasn’t seasoning)… 🤮🤮🤮 called Safeway they were kind enough to replace the turkey..

But after reading these reviews… I don’t want it… Safeway should read these reviews and reconsider where they get their turkey supply from….especially after I complained about mouse as well….. 🤮🤮🤮🤢

Definitely not the Christmas dinner we were looking for..

Most putrid chicken.

I recently bought frozen chicken breasts from Hallmark Farms. After I thawed out the chicken, the entire house already began to smell like something was rotting. I cooked and ate the chicken, and it had to be to worst chicken I’ve ever ate. Tasted more like I was eating plastic, with the texture of a rubber band. That was my first warning.

Fast forward to today and I bought fresh chicken (I didn’t realize which company it was by, until I was home and began cooking). When I realized, I figured I’d give them another shot. As soon as I unwrapped this “fresh” chicken, I immediately began to notice the stench. Smelled like a dying carcass. I began cooking it, and it was absolutely disgusting. The chicken turned to this mush-like paste and had the most appalling stench coming from it. I had to toss it out halfway through cooking, the stench was unbearable. Looking at the other reviews now, it all makes sense 🤮
I don’t know what’s put into this chicken, if it’s even chicken at all, but it’s absolutely disgusting

No giblets at all included, even though the packaging clearly states "Fresh young turkey, with giblets". I could not take the turkey back to the store as it had to be cooked by noon for am 88 year old guest and I found out at 7am when I took the wrap off.

For Christmas 2022 we were finding it quite difficult to find frozen turkeys. Luckily Save-on-Foods finally advertised some and my husband purchased a 5.6 kg bird. I had never heard of the brand and Googled it only to read shocking reviews. Fortunately, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the bird when we unwrapped it and it was cooked up on a bed of veggies for just under three hours - I follow Jamie Oliver’s method so not stuffed and not trussed. It rested for an hour and carved up beautifully. It was delicious, moist and flavourful. The gravy was beautiful. My only negative comment is that the giblets consisted only of the neck. I would recommend this brand and look for it again. PS - were still enjoying leftovers!

We have roasted a lot of turkeys over the years and we had a Hallmark bird this Christmas from Save-On. Smelled off cooking, took extra hour in the oven just get it to cook and tasted terrible. It must have been feeding on disgusting feed. In the garbage it has gone. Hallmark should not be allowed to sell these.

Disgusting place. Stinking up the neighbourhood. The whole area is changing for the better with bars, breweries, restaurants and condos. If you could only smell the putrid smell of decay coming from here I’d hope you don’t buy their meat in store. Hopefully the rotten chicken farm moves out.

Bought a $60 fresh turkey from IGA Murrayville Langley this Christmas. Worst bird I have ever had. 10 of us could not eat it. It stunk up the house from raw to fully cooked. Packaging came from Hallmak. Literally had the oder of a decomposing animal. Strange texture. One bite and I knew my guests were not going to eat it. Dogs are happy though. I would steer clear of anything made by this company now that I read terrible reviews about them everywhere. I suspect this bird came from the fraser valley floods honestly! Iga should never buy from a company with terrible ratings and resell at top dollar!

Bought a few of their chicken drumstick. They were quite a good deals and great taste. However, I am surprised about the numerous bad reviews considering the product I bought was great.
