I'm no gardener, but this place transports you into a world of greenery. It makes you want to fill up your surroundings with plants and flowers.  Just spending time there was fun; exploring all the beautiful plants and coming across some bees and butterflies.

The staff are knowledgeable and the pricing is reasonable. There are so many options to choose from. We left with two gorgeous little desk plants that look unique and require basic care.

We just came from there and had a great experience. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and informative. My 10 year old wanted to get a plant for his room and got a free lesson on its care. I read a couple of complaints about the lady behind the counter, whom I assume is the owner, but I wonder if they are just projection.?‍♂️

i like the helpful people and the selection but i bought 3 ornamental plants for half price at the start of the season because they had been in their nursery over the winter. None of them have come out. I can’t imagine why they would sell plants that are at this high risk of not coming out. I also find their prices really really high for the risk of the plants not surviving, I appreciate their one year guarantee but I don’t keep my receipts for one year and it is hit and miss. Not just the three that didn’t work out this year.

Great selection of flowers and plants, easy to navigate, lovely staff, prices are average. You can tell they’re a great team by the way they treat their animals— special shout out to the baby robin in the well-guarded nest?and Pumpkin the cat!

If you want selection, competitive prices, helpful staff, c'mon to Make It Green garden center. They have tree's, shrubs, flowers, seeds, fertilizer, on and on. They have grown with their customers. Listened and supplied what you need to become a successful beginner, or advanced gardener. The only trouble is that my wife treats this place like a kid in a candy shop.

The senior lady needs to pass the baton and get out from behind the front counter. Stop dealing with customers! I used to give her the benefit of the doubt but every year the same rude, condescending biddiness when asking for the slightest bit of help. I only returned this time out of convenience as the nursery I'started going to last year is out of town. Her employee who did help, on the other hand is awesome! She haas always been friendly, helpful and informative over the years

June 5th I had a sales person helping me find a clematis that blooms from June-September. She said she found one that goes till October. I was thrilled. When paying I asked about the return policy and was told it’s only for trees and shrubs but my clematis would fall under the shrubs category. When I got home and read the tag I learned this clematis only blooms from September-October. June 7th I took the plant back and as soon as I walked in the door with plant in hand, this obnoxious women started yelling, there are no returns in a loud voice. When I tried to explain that I’d be happy with a straight exchange for a June-September blooming clematis she cut me off mid sentence and yelled, there are no exchanges. I started to tell her that I was told that the clematis fell under the trees and shrubs policy when she cut me off AGAIN and just kept saying over and over again in a loud voice, THERE ARE NO RETURNS. THERE ARE NO EXCHANGES. With all the many wonderful garden Centers in and around Ottawa, happily I’ll NEVER EVER HAVE TO GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.
