We got our cute little Bichon-Poo Leo from Spruce Ridge Kennel in Dec 2021. Alma was wonderful and patient, provided all info, details & trimmed his nails when we picked him up. Leo is a happy, outgoing, playful, well behaved and smart dog. He was 4 months old when we got him and surprisingly we were able to potty train him in 3 days. Our family is super happy with their service and with our cutest new family member.

I purchased my dog Lily from Spruce Ridge 1 year ago. She is a coton de tulear and bichon frise mix. Lily is super affectionate, smart and great with other dogs and kids. She has a strong will and lots of energy (she just turned one so this could mainly be puppy energy) but her temperament is very sweet. She’s never aggressive or dominant. I wanted to share this so that people have an idea of what this breed is like since I had never heard of it before!

Honest review of the kennel... the kennel is on a farm, they stay in a heated building in pens with wood chips in them, naturally it’s smellier and not like a warm home. I feel like everything was to standard and appropriate but I was happy to take my girl out of there to give her a nice warm bed in a home. The first day I brought her home she had bloody diarrhea.. I had to bring her to the emergency vet right away and was not happy about this. I called Spruce Ridge and told her what had happened and she was very apologetic and after discussion she did pay for my vet bill. She also asked me to keep her updated on Lily’s situation. Lily is healthy and happy now and we presume it was potentially from her eating the wood chips, she did not have a parasite. I am giving five stars because she covered the vet bill and was accommodating. I would return to purchase another puppy based on my experience with this kennel.

Arlo is now four years old, a Shelchon, Sheltie Bichon. He is a real joy to us and a great companion. The one thing I notice is he never seems to get dirty and if his paws do, he just steps into the pool to wash off! He talk to us through many different peeps. He sleeps all night and is never in a hurry to go out. We walk miles everyday. He likes the car and likes to watch TV. He barks when the bluejays score and when jeprody comes on. Loves kids and people.Is fine on his own for several hours but glad when we come home to have his tummy rubbed. We take him on the crate in the passenger section. He doesn’t wander off as the Sheltie in him makes him a ‘herder’. He is obedient but has a mind of his own and doesn’t like to give up his toy once he has secured it. So playful but calm and doesn’t bark at other dogs. Alma has a few litters on the go for sale. I would highly recommend this mix.

I just wanted to say thank you very much for such a marvelous Cockapoo puppy. Tula is a great addition to our family. She is very smart and energetic. She is very gentle with children. She is very healthy and doing well in her new home. Many people stop to ask us about her.

I got my dog Stela from here about 7.5 years ago. Her mom was Peppa and her dad Tobey. She died recently of cancer at age 7. I wonder if anyone else had a puppy from the same parents and if they also lost their dog to cancer.

We purchased our Cavachon, Wrigley, from Spruce Ridge Kennels, just over a year ago. They have a beautiful sprawling farm and many hands looking after the puppies. While they may not keep their litters inside their own home, the kennel is just behind the house and there were many hands looking after the puppies. On a couple of visits, we were quietly met by their own family dog, who promptly rolled over and accepted our belly rubs…this was just one reason we chose this kennel. Alma answered all our questions truthfully and we were able to meet the parents. On each visit, we were able to hold the puppies and they were calm and cuddly. Our pup was checked by a vet, given his first immunizations and all paperwork was given to us. Alma was sure to not let the puppies go to their forever homes until they had been properly weened and checked by the vet. We were even sent home with more than a 2-week supply of superior quality dog food. Our Wrigs has been an absolute joy and welcome addition to our family. He is adorable, energetic, well-behaved, quiet, smart and cuddly. We have recommended this kennel to several people and 2 families recently brought home their new fur baby from this kennel.
