This is regarding a review from a Grade Eh Farms' customer Miranda Barnas. Just wanted to clarify that her order sent in January was considered a pre-order, which was sent during the off-season at the farm. During the off-season, communications are limited since it's the time to winterize and prepare for the following season. For customers who emailed during the off-season, here is part of the automated message they receive: "...closed for the season. We are spending this time to winterize and make sure the birds will be ready for the cold and rainy weather ahead of us. We are also preparing for next spring's breeding programs. We will pick up mail from time to time, but we may be delayed in getting back to you. We will do our best to reply to each and every email during this off-season period."

A "Thank You Note" was sent to Miranda for her pre-order. Grade Eh Farms starts giving order updates once the hatching season begins which is usually end of March or early April. So sorry for the miscommunication. She mentioned sending multiple emails that weren't received, but upon checking, they were accidentally delivered to the junk folder. A response email has been sent to her since then. Having messages delivered to one's junk folder is beyond the receiver's control but will make it right.

Online ordering could be made more seamless and communication better but hopefully will have good birds. Looking forward to receiving mine soon and will update once I have them.

Great family run business, we bought and shipped some of their chicks to Edmonton. Grade Eh were very professional and made the air freight shipping seem easy, the chicks turned up in great condition and are very healthy. We have previously bought locally from one of the local hatchery’s but with very limited choice of breeds and mostly unsexed. We now have five new breeds from the Backyard Rainbow Collection and we look forward to integrating these new birds. I highly recommend them if you are looking for heritage breeds from a quality hatchery.
