Compared to the other grocery stores in town Food Basics has best deals and better prices on Meat/Veggies compared to Zehrs.

It maybe called Food Basics and Conjure the thought of cheap quality fresh vegetables, but no this is the place to shop for all your fruit and vegetables needs…. Their protein selections are sometimes lacking to say the least. Over all this is the place to shop for your basic fresh food ingredients.

It's a nice place . It's clean and great staff.
I see the staff going out of their way to actually help people. The only downside to this store is the greedy high prices. Even the sale items are very high.

They have good prices and environment is getting better than what it used to be, I think an expansion to the store would do it really well, bigger produce section and an actual bakery like the one at Zehrs.

Outstanding!

This store demonstrates the best of customer service. I have spoken to a member of their management team, "Hayden", frequently and he always demonstrated the best of service and courtesy!

The store is well-organized, neat and clean and well-stocked.

Keep up the great work!

Friendly staff. Not the stores fault but too often people walk so close to you they hit you in the heel with their carts, it drives me crazy. The store is great but I find often they're out of sale items and you really have to look through the produce to get the good stuff.

I was visiting in this nice, quiet city and my cousin took me to this store. We noticed that there was some frozen lamb displayed at a good price. He took one piece but I picked one that did not have a price label. At the checkout, I notified the cashier that my piece does not have a price label and it has to be weighed and priced. Then, a guy from the meat section came and picked it up. Much to my surprise, the guy from the meat section, went to freezers grabbed a different piece and came back. I told the cashier that I asked for that piece to be weighed not to be changed because I could have picked one with price label from the beginning. I just wanted that big piece for a special dish. The guy from the meat section brought the original piece, but the price went high this time. I did not even know that this was on sale. It was very embarrassing as people started lining up. The store manager showed up at the checkout and said the meat section employee was new and did not know how to weigh!!! Then, he said this deal was from last week, but I could get it at the sale price!!! I thanked him for the generous offer and asked for a refund as I had already paid. Unfortunately, the cashier did not know how to process the refund transaction and a different cashier came to help. Another employee offered to go to the freezers and get another piece, but I refused. I had had enough at that time and I just wanted to leave the store and avoid more embarrassment and waste of time. This was a very painful shopping experience.
