Don’t be fooled by the friendly faces as long as you are spending $$$
I purchased an orange dream Japanese maple on April 29th. The day I purchased the tree, I was talking about it being too early to buy my annuals and staff informed me there was no threat of frost in the next two weeks. She said they were putting out the annuals that day and not worried about any frost.
So I noticed one branch of the tree had what I thought was a damaged end. I thought the branch had been bent or broken and it was just one small branch so I wasn’t too concerned. My mistake.
The tree was watered regularly and was kept in the garage with doors open during the day and closed at night. I noticed within a few days the leaves were falling and browning on edges. I wasn’t sure what was happening with the tree and thought maybe it just needed to get planted. We planted it a few days ago.
Today I took pictures of the tree and went back to the nursery. I showed the staff who had been working when I bought the tree. She immediately said it wasn’t watered. Then she told who I presume was the owner and she said it got frost while still in bud. They didn’t even let me finish what I wanted to say before they started with the blame game. She said she would not warranty it because it was obviously something I had done. She said the grower wouldn’t warranty it either. She told me to look at all her trees. She said none of the other trees were damaged. Well I spent over $1500 on plants on April 29th and the tree from a&m garden centre is the ONLY plant I bought that is damaged. (Other purchases at Basline garden and Heemans )
The thing is had she listened to me before she started blaming me I just wanted to know if I should trim the bad spots or just be patient and see what happens.
I would give zero ⭐️ if I could….TERRIBLE customer service. Oh and I purchased a $35 hydrangea at baseline and they gave me a two year warranty.

Love all the beautiful little gems to be found at A&M Garden Centre from beautiful flower arrangements to gardening supplies or all kinds off outdoor home decor… This was my first year coming here as im new to the neighborhood but i have completed my first part of my garden with everything from A&M Garden Centre and it turned out beautiful and just how i imagined i wanted it to be! Highly recommend and will definitely be back not to mention great polite helpful sweet employees and a yummy ice cream stand when you leave! 5 Star service thanks for everything A&M

Just spent the day at A&M Garden Centre with my Mom and it was wonderful! Great staff who were super helpful in helping me find a solution for a fairy garden my Mom is making herself. A great place to spend a day looking at all the decor, flowers, and antiques.

A hidden gem! Great selection of large, healthy perennials, annuals, herbs, shrubs + trees at fraction of cost when compared to larger locations. Impressive hanging baskets and wide assortment of planters & decor.
Absolutely worth a visit!

A&M is still open while Col. Talbot is under construction and is offering big discounts. Alas, the ice cream shop no longer exists. Excellent service.

Customer service was very poor with the owner having a horrible attitude. I bought some sod and noticed it was quite hot when i rolled it out. I week later and 60% appears healthy but some complete pieces and some partial pieces died. I called and was told the sod was fresh cut that morning, that no one else complained and that it was my problem - not hers. She seemed to not care that one 1/2 pallet of sod was infested with larvae and ants (not something that happens in a couple of hours). She offered no help. All I can do is write a review.

Really great selection. Well cared for plants in good shape. Prices are higher than grocery store garden centres but they are good quality.

I was out for a ride on my bike. With no place really in mind to go, I happened to see a brightly coloured stand and picnic tables. I had never been here before, so I decided to stop for some ice cream. Cute little place. Really well kept. Plenty of room. Pleasant staff! I will be back and bring my husband next time.
