I am the chef and owner of Twisted Lemon Restaurant in Cayuga.

This is my first and only review of a supplier and here's why.

I have been using Mortons for many years. Their dedication to their locally sourced product and specialty items coupled with the option to "SPLIT" the items and bring me just the amount I need is what I find is missing in our industry at a one stop shop supplier level.

I still get stuff from my community small business but that would never be enough for what I offer.

When it comes to Mortons I know that MY vision and dedication to quality dishes is not only respected but ALWAYS their top priority.

From a very extensive product list that allows me to source all of my products including chemicals, stationary/paper products, cleaning supplies, exotic items and seasonal produce they take the time to get to know me and my restaurant which is very rare.

I always feel as though I am talking with someone who works with me not for me.

Now let's talk about the sales reps. In my area I have had many different reps over the years and I am currently working with a fantastic man named Jon Mullett. The only reason I am naming him is because I feel like we are more than just business associates now but more that we have become friends through Mortons. Jon is a seasoned chef himself so I can feel confident that we are speaking the same language

I have been doing this for over 25 years and that is something that I have never experienced before. As a former chef himself I know that when I am looking for something I can talk with him about my vision for the product and he understands EXACTLY what is going to work. We just talk it out, figure out costs and pack sizes and I know that what he will provide will be the best option for my vision. He just gets me.

Here's the part that I feel is the most important.

We are in an industry and a relationship as restaurant/chef and supplier where the variables can be in excess and sometimes S**T happens.

THIS IS NORMAL.

Where Mortons shines is that weather it is a supplier shortage, delivery issue, product issue, pandemic or I just screwed up with my order and we need to sort something out Mortons ALWAYS goes over and above to make sure I am taken care of.

I highly recomend Mortons Food Service to anyone who is looking for a supplier that is invested in being the best they can be for YOU amd YOUR business.

Our experience @ The Sunset Diner with Mortons is great, Suzanne Grubb is on top of all shortages and changes (emails about price changes etc), along with miss picks sometimes even before I have had a chance to reach out to her. Always offering to bring the missed product. Still maintaining weekly checkins and just so over the top amazing in a real way. Delivery is always prompt and EARLY! They're on their game that's FORSURE!
