I decided to go to Rona to purchase drywall because they provided a cargo van for only $25.00 for the first 90 minutes .I was also influenced by them being a Canadian retailer.Service was excellent and their prices are very competitive.

I love shopping Canadian! Rona has everything the home handyman/ contractor needs. Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful. My favorite day is the first Tuesday of the month- SENIORS DISCOUNT DAY.

DO NOT GET YOUR DUCT CLEANING DONE BY LOWE'S. They subcontract their work from Toronto, only one technician shows up, and most importantly your ducts don't get cleaned. Photos below are what was left when the job was "complete." We had to hire another company to come in and actually clean our ducts. Lowe's cleaning services has a list of 30 steps on their site that the technician is supposed to do and we can pick out at least 10 of them that he didn't - including not disinfecting our system and leaving garbage around. Save yourself the hassle and hire a reputable duct cleaning service for your home.

It's the holiday season so one would think this is the time of year to be better staffed....
Nope, nada.... Stood at the paint section and even called for assistance, waited for 20min and not a person was around to help.... Left the store went elsewhere, good luck staying in business

Bought a dryer, fast delivery, salesman was an awesome guy.

The 1 star is for the delivery company.
They scuffed the dryer, dented the side, bent one of the foot pegs so I can't adjust it, and they didn't level the dryer.
I called the store who again were great and very helpful, awesome communication, but the delivery company has still not gotten ahold of me. It's been 2 weeks since delivery.
EDIT: I also bought a Samsung washer when we first moved into the house, I just realized it was from the Provincial Rd Lowe's, and they didn't level the unit either.
EDIT 2: never heard back from Lowe's or installation guys.
Also bought windows, over $8,000 for 5 windows and 2 tiny ones for basement. Horrible job, supposed to be ready to paint, pre primed etc. Large gaps, mitres coming apart, no shims used etc. Left a black hand print 15 feet up that I can't get off.
