I am beyond grateful for Leanne & her staff. She truly understands dogs and is a AMAZING trainer ! I appreciate how she schedules her appointments & safety she has put in place. I have a reactive dog and knowing I won’t run into another person/dog gives me peace of mind! My corso has so many issues, after 1 session with Leanne she learned so much. I went through Canadian Canine for their Service Dogs: Produced dog program. They were absolutely wonderful, answering all my questions I had upfront with knowledgeable responses. The orientation was packed full of information and we left knowing much more than before about dog behaviours.
When it came time to meet the dog, he was an absolute sweetheart. Laid back, super happy and had a great temperament.
The training was both private and class setting, and I gained a ton of training knowledge throughout the process. The dog (Gino) was obedience trained by the group and reflected beautifully in his behaviour and demeanour.
When time to work on specific tasks, we would reserve one on one sessions where Leanne or Joel would walk me through the steps of training and what to do and I would take it home as homework for me and my boy. Any issues or concerns I had along the way were addressed promptly and without issue. Overall this experience has been wonderful and I will miss working with them so closely now that Gino has learned all of his tasks. I have never boarded here so can’t comment on that portion but I would definitely use Canadian Canine again when it comes time for Gino to retire.

We have been taking our dog here for 4 years since he was a pup. It is absolutely the best boarding we have found. You would be hard pressed to find a kennel with this high of of standards. We leave Rowdy there several times a year for training and boarding. He is always well taken care of, happy and healthy when we pick him up. The facility is 5 stars, very clean, never smelly and my dog is never stinky when we pick him up. Most kennels are full of dogs barking and chaos. This one is serene and relaxing. I know my pet is in excellent hands when we are away and never have to worry. Leanne and her staff are exceptional. Thanks for providing such a top notch facility!

P.S - Yes, the pick up times are strict but we appreciate the structure and organization that they have created from years of experience. It is always a smooth process when you show up on time or call if you are running behind. 🙂

My experience with Canadian Canine Training was deeply disappointing. While the owner appears knowledgeable about dog training, her customer interaction skills are severely lacking. There is an unusual strictness about appointment timings; arriving even five minutes early can lead to a severe rebuke.

During my visit, I was berated for being slightly early and talked to in a condescending manner. I was informed that customers who can follow her strict rules receive discounts—clearly, I was not one of them. The interaction escalated to the point where, after deciding not to leave my dog for boarding due to the owner's attitude, she resorted to yelling and offensive insults.

I strongly advise staying away from this establishment. A quick look through other one-star reviews reveals a consistent pattern of similar experiences. Proceed with caution.

We have been through many training sessions with Leanne with 3 different dogs. Every session I learn something new about dogs, their behavior, and body language. Leanne and staff are very qualified, and methods are based on a lot of experience and education. Problems with dogs is not the dog, it is how we deal with the dog. At Canadian Canine you will learn how to manage even the most difficult dog.
The in and out times are very strict to ensure your dog can come to the session without any distractions or confrontations with other dogs. This is be sure your dog is ready to get the most from the training session.

This is the best place if you really want to train and have a good relationship with your dog.

We have been going here for ages now, we’ve received some training as has our beloved GSD. Jack was a pup when we first met Leanne and he’ll be ten at the end of the month, so a long trusted relationship to be sure. We board Jack often, when we pull up into the driveway he gets super excited and can hardly wait to get out of the truck and start hanging out with doggy friends. This last visit, Jack took sick, and Leanne and Joel looked after him like he was their own. They took him to the vet after a consult with me and gave him the meds as prescribed by the vet. Leanne did not charge me more for the vet trip and the time spent there, she could have and maybe even should have considering this time spent going back and forth to the vet took Joel away from other duties. Seriously Leanne cares deeply about the animals in her care and I trust her explicitly. Joel is pretty fantastic too. We cannot thank Leanne enough for the care and attention she provides our Jack, there just isn’t proper words in the English language to adequately express our gratitude. ❤️

We had such a good experience with our orientation and training with Hayley and Joel. We probably had 8 private sessions with both trainers. They were very personable and good trainers. Our problem occurred when we left our pup of 8 months with them for a month after feeling we had confidence in the facility. We went with the "spa package" which was $40 a day and we were told our dog would sit in the office on a bed with the staff. We also paid for 4 private training sessions for our puppers while we were gone to continue the training we had started. When we returned to pick up our dog, there was a shrug of shoulders, "we didn't have time to groom him and the trainer left for personal family reasons" When we got home and had a closer look at our puppers, we realized he had two massively infected eyes and his ears were infected and he was matted from his jaw straight back to his hind end which I'm sure was extremely painful. We went straight to the vet and had him treated and cleaned up. It took us 2 weeks and specialty products to remove all the mats - we didn't want to traumatize him any further so slowly worked through the mats. I am absolutely shocked at what happened there. I doubt that he had any special attention, if any at all. I consider what happened to my puppy to be animal abuse and nothing short of it. I am writing this review to assist others to understand that there is a problem at this facility - training was great, care was, as I said abusive.

By far the best canine training facility I’ve ever seen. Staff is amazing and extremely knowledgeable and very professional. I would highly recommend this for any level of dog training, beginner to advanced. Also have Government Approved Service Dogs available, this says allot about the level of training they provide. Thank you Canadian Canine.
