I want to say we had a good time at the estate trying some beautiful wines but sadly it was not the case.
We drove in from Kelowna to try a tasting. My gf’s family was really excited to show me the space and try the wine, nothing but good things to say from their past visits.
But we were turned away because we didn’t have a reservation. That’s bizarre because the place was empty and there was a sign saying “we welcome walk-ins”.
So we went down the street to Silver Sage and spent a couple of hundred dollars on some nice bottles instead.🍺

It’s a real shame because the view looked amazing. 😫

French Door Winery is pure magic. The wines are beautifully crafted—especially the Chardonnay, which was an elegant wine with butter and vanilla aromas mingled with flavours of nectarine, melon, and apple, truly unforgettable. The views are breathtaking, with rolling vineyards and mountain backdrops that make you want to stay forever. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The ambience blends rustic charm with elegant French touches—effortlessly stylish, yet completely welcoming. A perfect escape, and easily one of the most memorable winery experiences I’ve had. French Door Estate Winery’s limited production and commitment to quality make their wines highly sought after. We loved French Door and its honesty probably one of our favorites.❤️ 🍷

Beautiful location, serving organic French style wines. Every wine we tasted was delicious. My favourites were the Heritage and Fleur. We paid $20 a person for a 5 wine tastings and ended up tasting another Cabernet Franc as a surprise addition on the house. While the wine is certainly pricier, this is a fantastic place to splurge on a bottle to store for a few years before enjoying at home.

Aside: we had a little visit from Quinn, the 3-month old winery puppy and spotted a tiny bat sleeping under a pillar.

Incredible experience today at French Door Winery! Adam was truly amazing, full of knowledge and passion, and he explained everything in such great detail. It made the whole tasting feel thoughtful and engaging.

The setting is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views, and the wines were just fantastic, elegant, refined, and full of character. Sam was also lovely and very accommodating at the tasting bar.

This is definitely a must-visit winery in Oliver. Friendly team, top-notch service, amazing wines. I’ll absolutely be coming back. Bravo to the whole team! 🍷

Easily my husband and I’s favourite winery. Originally we were hesitant about the pricing but it’s worth every dollar. The experience is top notch and the wines are perfection. The wine is always well balanced and has a wonderful finish, leaving a lasting impression and a sense of satisfaction.

Such a wonderful experience. Their patio is stunning, with a gorgeous expansive view. Charlie helped us and was extremely knowledgeable about each of the wines. Definitely a must see when in Oliver.
