Originally I went here to get their award winning French press. Unfortunately they did not have it.
Ended up having their drip coffee which was good. Lots of seating indoor as there is a whole back seating area. Parking in front. Just off the Main Street.

Had an iced latte and a flat white both of which were delicious. The space is inviting and quite nice.

The service however is so poor it would see this place last 6 months max if in a larger city.

I asked the person behind the desk if she could grind a bag of beans for a V60 as I was travelling and didn't have a grinder, and she said they could. Keep in mind they sell this device, and it's probably the most common pour over device in the world. She ground the beans far too coarsely to the point of bordering French press use case. I went back the next morning, explained it had been ground too coarse and asked if they could regrind. Same young woman said "no" and that was it. Which is fine if they are concerned about clogging the burrs etc. Hower, to not follow that up with an offer to inspect the product, regrind a new bag, to reduce the cost of a replacement bag, even comp a drip coffee or something as a "sorry". Basically "we screwed up, tough luck".

While the beans are good (based on the prepared drinks), I've been buying specialty coffee from across this country for a decade and a half and you can find as good or better beans with competent and kinder service basically anywhere else (this is mirrored in many of the reviews here). If you run a specialty coffee shop and can't grind for a v60 or make that up to customers, you need to retrain your staff. And perhaps buy a new grinder/replace your burrs (look at the photo).

My friends and I came here for a nice mid morning coffee/breakfast. I got a 16oz latte and avocado toast which was absolutely delish. My friends all had BLTs and a mix of teas and coffee. The staff member making the BLTs was very concerned she was out of tomato slices. She nicely added slices of avocado instead to their sandwiches.

We sat in the back of the café which is where they do the coffee roasting. It was quite a few degrees warmer than the front of the café because of the roasting equipment but still enjoyable!

Overall, this is a great spot to stop for a coffee and bite to eat if you are in the area!

Stopped by this charming cafe while on our way to Tofino and it was a pleasant surprise! From the outside, it might look small, but don’t let appearances deceive you – it’s surprisingly spacious and has a very homely vibe inside. My wife and I enjoyed a delicious scone with butter and a tomato basil soup that was just perfect. We also had the chance to chat with the owner, who was incredibly polite and took the time to share his journey of opening his first location and now this second gem on Vancouver Island. It’s clear this place is run with love and care. Highly recommend dropping by if you’re in the area. A true highlight of our trip!

A truly great find! Coffee is one of the best. I normally enjoy coffee with chocolate notes— the ones they serve here changed my mind about coffee with fruity notes. The cheddar scone was AMAZING, and tomato soup was packed with flavour. Friendly staff, cool little spot, we will definitely be back!

Really nice cafe with nice coffee and food. I really liked the creamy tomatoe soup and avocado toast. We got an oat milk latte and that was also yummy. The whole cafe I think is a repurposed warehouse but they've decorated it really cool. It was pretty full when I went there and I could see myself chilling there doing working given the chance.
