I ordered the kiwi plant collection, mulberry tree rootstock and wild plum. I’m pretty disappointed with this company. Their customer service is terrible, the quality in stock is subpar and they don’t care about making their customer happy. I wanted to try a couple nursery’s out so I bought from t&t seeds and oak summit nursery. The difference in quality of service and stock is astonishing. I received a mulberry tree root that was less than half an inch tall. As well as a kiwi plant that was about 2 inches tall from these guys. They send instructions that you can’t even follow due to the lack of quality of their plants. I called to express my disappointment in what I received and told them I wanted a refund, on just ONE of the plants, the mulberry tree. They asked me to send pictures, told me they would respond the next business day then they never did. I called again I was told this is what is to be expected and I had to wait 6 weeks to see if it would break dormancy, and that basically she knows better. You should be ashamed of some of the things you are sending out to people! I waited so long for these. Buyer BEWARE! Save the hassle and skip this company. Oak summits trees were top quality as well as his service! I could have bought this plant from them and it would have been cheaper and 12”-18”.

Edited to add after their comment. This product should have never been shipped. It barely had any roots. It was mailed out and received past the time when they are supposed to be planted. It has not grown, and it will not grow.

Our household has purchased seeds from T&T for the last few years. Unfortunately this last year was a bad experience.
I pre purchased garlic seed as soon as available online. The quality was questionable, but because I was newer to growing garlic I started cracking the bulbs to plant, but because of the quality I though I should reach out to garlic growers online as well as in person. They advised do not plant that they look like they contained mites, as well as were of poor quality. They also advised to return because any reputable company would give a refund.
T&T said because I cracked the bulbs they couldn’t tell that I don’t plant any “which I didn’t, from advice of garlic experts” and return them all. T&T only gave a partial return.

Pictured below are examples of the garlic received. The brown bag picture was one I still had not cracked and indicative of every bag. Sorted from very soft to semi soft. No bulbs were what I would consider hard.

They advised me that the seed was good and, basically alluded to that I was overreacting.

I ordered dahlia tubers well past the planting date and was worried of their viability. They arrived still healthy, plump and sprouting! Great quality, shipping good as can be expected for my selection. Only minor complaint is that I didn’t get an email notification that my product had shipped but it was done promptly so I am pleased with this company!

First yime buying from T&T Seeds. I bought a bareroot rose and peonies at the end of June when it was on sale. I was a little worried about the timing but it was too good of a deal to pass up. Its been almost 4 weeks planted in a heatwave and yes, I did have to baby the plants daily but they all came up and so far doing well. The peony roots are quite large, the Itoh variety has 7 eyes sprouted and the regular one has 4 shoots. I was pleasantly surprised as I had purchased bareroot peonies before from another big online seller and it was puny. The rose had many stems and big roots, it has also developed buds on all viable stems. Very happy with the quality of the plants.

These guys have really inconsistent stock. Some of it is great, some just ridiculous.

Our acorn squashes looked like they were going to have a great year. Not a single female flower on the entire plant.

The kobochas have been fantastic. Big fruits and they just keep coming.

Onions have been doing great. Seeds that grow to the size of full onions in a single season can’t be beat, I’ll tell you that.

Sadly, the same can’t be said for my frankly bizarre experience with the shallots.

First off, they came in a box labelled T&T Seeds, but a bag labelled Peak Of The Market. If I wanted Peak Of The Market, frankly, I would have ordered from them.

Secondly, they’re definitely not living up to the name. They’re tiny, so far, and while I’m waiting on more growing, I’m not exactly optimistic.

The customer service always leaves something to be desired, too. Online orders aren’t exactly speedy, which I understand is just a thing when shipping seeds and plants. But try calling these folks, just try. I haven’t ever gotten a single rep who wasn’t snippy, rude, and defensive. It’s annoying as heck.

Honestly, next year I’m saving myself the hassle and going with my local shops and other online services. And I’m definitely getting my shallots from Mackenzie seeds.

The selection and variety are great, but the quality is poor.

I ordered four varieties of very expensive pelleted petunia seeds (Easy Wave Rosy Dawn, White, Yellow, and Shock Wave Pink Vein). The germination rates varied widely: Shock Wave Pink Vein and Easy Wave White germinated at 90%, but the others were only 10%. So, out of my $15 packet of 20 seeds, only 2 seeds sprouted.

Additionally, the quality of perishable and bare root stock is much worse compared to other mail-order nurseries.

I spoke with a former employee who revealed that they often ship out moldy and rotting stock to fulfill pre-orders, presumably hoping customers won't file warranty claims.

Furthermore, their seeds lack packing dates or lot numbers, enabling them to sell the same packets for years despite significant decreases in germination rates, particularly for pelleted seeds.

I was initially excited to support this local company when I first discovered them, but my experience with their products and service over the past year has been a major disappointment.

Terrible seeds this year I over half the seeds never came up. Will not be ordering from them again. Before anyone thinks we'll it's my garden and soil, nope I have had amazing gardens every year. It's the seeds I got that never came up.

frustrating trying to support local. under old ownership, staff friendly and answered the phones, now not so much and be ready to be on hold for a long time. no reasons needed it is just a show of the level of customer service. Used to get all my stuff from them for my company and recieved a fair discount for loyalty, now nothing.
explanations and reasons are exactly that and are used to rationalize shortcomings.
