I was buying some Alfredo Sauce which was priced at 1.14 on the shelf. I brought 8 up to the self checkout. It scanned in at 2.29. I put 6 off the the side on the self checkout next to me. Cashier can and said “you don’t want these?” I explained why I put them aside and she went to the shelf to look. It was several minutes so I went to the aisle she agreed they were priced wrong but said they will not honour as they are a different item. All of the were behind that price.
She said that they will not honour it. I asked to speak to the manager her very abrupt response was ok.
He can to the self checkout where I was, I told him my situation. He went to the aisle with the cashier and came back and said he would honour it because he was “being nice”
I then said I wanted to talk about how I was treated by the cashier. He listened and his response it was nothing short of shocking.
He said he will no longer honour the price as he didn’t have to. I said because I voiced a concern about the cashier he was retracting the price he said he will honour?
Worst customer service I think I have ever experienced in my life.
They have left me no choice but to contact No Frills head office and the Better business Bureau.

As residents of the town, we make a point of supporting local businesses whenever possible. This store is usually a convenient place to shop, and we’ve always found the checkout staff to be friendly and helpful.

During our most recent visit, we opted to use the self-checkout due to long lines at the staffed registers. Since we don’t use self-checkout often, we encountered some difficulties scanning our items and required assistance. Unfortunately, the staff member on duty was not only unhelpful but also condescending in her approach, which was both unexpected and disappointing.

When we requested to speak with a manager, we were initially told he was unavailable. Additionally, we overheard the staff member refer to us on the phone as “whining customers,” which was particularly unprofessional. When the manager eventually arrived, he was dismissive of our concerns and suggested that the behavior we described was unlikely to have occurred.

We understand that customer service roles can be demanding, but a more respectful and solutions-focused approach would have made a significant difference in this situation. We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as we would like to continue supporting this business in the future.

How to loose business 101. I shop here on a weakly basis, today I was asked to tell the clerk my birthday to buy Guinness. That fact that everyone can hear my birthday at the counter and use it to defraud me online doesn't seem to matter. Worst, when I offered to show my ID instead of pronouncing it to the store, the option was declined. The computer won't let the staff skip the question, yet for some reason they can't read it off my ID and insert it. To make matters even worst, I was then chastised for not wanting the general public to know my date of birth. This is not customer service.

We were on our way to our fishing camp nearby and needed a few groceries. Googled nearest grocery and this was right across the street from the Mickey Ds we were at. Nofrills had everything we needed and the price was right. We'll be back
