I am so happy to recommend Susan (Endless River) as a breeder of Portuguese Water Dogs. 5 stars doesn't seem to be enough. We lost our beloved PWD, Sirius, quite suddenly a couple of years ago. We knew we wanted another puppy in the family, but it took us a while before we knew we were ready to take it on. Susan was compassionate, understanding and patient as we worked through it as a family. This is our second time going through the adoption process, and we were so impressed with the care that Susan took in matching puppies with families, and taking time to understand what families were looking for. Because the lineage of Susan's litter is related to our first PWD, we knew that the quality of the litter was going to be outstanding. We were not disappointed! Our new addition, Koda, had a seamless entry into our family. He has become an incredibly loved and adored family member, following in Sirius' loving paw prints!

From the very start, her warmth and welcoming demeanor immediately put us at ease during our first online contact, up to the point of in-person visits. It wasn't just about finding a puppy; Susan took the time to get to know us, especially since it was our first time on this journey.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Susan, her family and her family of Portuguese Water Dogs since 2015. All her dogs and puppies are living and being raised in a loving environment. Puppies are whelped and initially live in an upstairs bedroom where Susan can sleep with them. When old enough, they move to the main floor of the house. They also have the opportunity to play in a huge backyard. Susan is a thoughtful and conscientious breeder, selecting her breeding dogs very carefully with temperament being at the forefront. Whether you want a "sport" dog or a "pet" dog, you can't go wrong with selecting Endless River and Susan as your breeder.
