I had a really frustrating experience in the paint department today. Two younger employees were helping me and doing a great job trying to find the correct color. They were polite and clearly trying their best, but when they couldn’t figure it out, one of them called an older lady with glasses for help.

She wasn’t even in the paint department that day, and she made it very clear she didn’t want to be bothered. The first thing she said was something like, “I’m not in paint today and I’m not wearing my paint clothes,” and she had a major attitude the whole time. She was rude and dismissive, like I was wasting her time just by needing help.

That kind of behavior is unacceptable in any customer service role. The younger staff were doing their best, and it’s a shame their efforts were overshadowed by someone who clearly didn’t want to be there. I ended up leaving without the paint I needed because the whole situation made me uncomfortable. If that’s the kind of attitude customers can expect, I’ll take my business elsewhere next time.

Love home hardware, service and products are great. Would rate 4 or 5 stars but their hours are outdated in my opinion. I have drove to Canadian Tire for emergency plumbing supplies or last minute tools for a project way too many times. And spent hundreds of dollars there instead.

Kevin proactively went out of his way while I at the checkout, to point out that the bulbs I was buying had a removable adapter so that I wouldn't have any troubles or need to return. Awesome service from a guy who is always happy and pleasure to deal with everytime.

I had a few basic questions about purchasing a kitchen sink, and I was yelled at by the plumbing clerk and spoken to in the most demeaning, condescending way! I was so shocked and appalled, this clerk actually scared me. I quickly walked out of the store and went to a different store where my questions were happily answered and I purchased the sink, at a higher price, but at least I was treated with decency and respect.

Had an issue with the cabinet measurement we ordered, Dave (manager) and Rhonda (cabinet specialist) were very helpful and easy to deal with. We're impressed with the service.
