I came across an ad for Kerala Delights on Facebook and decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did! The food was absolutely authentic and the flavors immediately brought back memories of my hometown in Kerala. It’s rare to find authentic Kerala-style food in Vancouver, but Kerala Delights delivers exactly that.

The South Kerala-style biryani was a standout. The subtle hint of pineapple brought back memories of the biryanis we used to have at weddings in my hometown.It’s such a unique flavor that you don’t often find elsewhere, and it was prepared perfectly. What made it even more special was that they added eggs with the chicken biryani, which is a Kerala tradition! 😋😋There was a generous amount of chicken pieces as well!!

I also ordered paneer biryani, which isn’t on their regular menu, but they made it as a special request. ( Special thanks for this) It was my first time trying South Kerala-style paneer biryani, as this isn’t a common dish from my hometown. The paneer was perfectly fried, absorbing all the flavors, and the quantity was just as generous as the chicken biryani.

The next dish we ordered was chicken 65, it was a huge hit with everyone at home.
Another standout for me was the bakery-style chicken rolls. Authentic Kerala bakery snacks are not easy to come by in this region, but Kerala Delights has managed to recreate them beautifully. It’s such a nostalgic experience to have these flavors after so long.

Next up is the parippuvada—honestly, it's deserving of another 5/5 stars!

The portion sizes were generous, and the food was flavorful from start to finish.
This is a takeout-only place that’s open Friday through Sunday (to the best of my knowledge), and if you’re craving authentic Kerala food, Kerala Delights is the place to try. Highly recommended!

I recently ordered the cutlet and egg puff from this Kerala takeout spot, and both were absolutely delightful. The cutlet was crispy on the outside and soft inside, packed with the rich flavors of traditional Kerala spices. It had the perfect texture and tasted just like the ones from a local Kerala bakery.

The egg puff was just as impressive – the pastry was golden, flaky, and buttery, and the filling was well-seasoned with a nice balance of spices and onions. Everything was fresh, neatly packed, and still warm when I got home.

If you’re craving real Kerala-style snacks, this place delivers quality and authenticity. Highly recommend for a quick and satisfying bite!

Had an amazing experience ordering from Kerala Delight! Tried the Chicken Biriyani, Kappa and Fish Curry combo, Egg Puffs, and Beef Fry — and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic, rich, and truly captured the essence of Kerala cuisine. Each dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this place to anyone craving genuine Kerala delicacies. Will definitely be ordering again!

Great spot to try out real authentic Kerala cuisine. We were visiting from Seattle and was craving for some egg puffs and ended up here. Only after reaching we realized that we were supposed to order online. The owner Joe came out and offered to make us some egg puffs and chicken roll. They were absolutely delicious! We also tried their pineapple drink which was the most refreshing drink I have ever had. Really appreciate accommodating us and providing us with such friendly service. Would highly recommend this place.

Authentic Kerala Pothichoru : A Taste of Home!
I was blown away by the pothichoru I bought here; it instantly took me back to my high school days in Kerala. After so many years, tasting a truly authentic pothichoru again literally brought tears to my eyes. The flavors, the presentation, and the love put into the food are unmatched , loved it !!

The customer service is warm and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about what they serve. I randomly called to see what was on the weekend menu, and I'm so glad I did 🙂 it was a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.

The only downside? They're currently open only on weekends : so plan ahead! If you're in BC and craving traditional Kerala meals, especially pothichoru, biriyani and egg puffs this is the place to go. Highly recommend to all Malayalis and food lovers looking for a true taste of Kerala.

I recently saw an ad about Kerala delights and decided to try it out today. I got the chicken biriyani, lamb biriyani and the egg puffs. The taste and the aroma was just exactly same as the authentic Kerala biriyani and puffs. The best biriyani in the greater Vancouver area and the egg puffs was outstanding! I would definitely recommend this place for an authentic Kerala cuisine.
