We visited this nursery for the first time after a referral from a friend. Cathy was so helpful and knowledgeable in finding us exactly what we were looking for. We purchased a tree for our yard. There is a great selection of shrubs, trees, landscaping material, plants, etc. The customer service was what made the experience the best. My new go to place for gardening needs has been found.

Purchased 4 Swedish Aspen trees from Marty for $1,500 — and even referred him to my neighbors, bringing him more business. Once the sale was done, the customer service vanished. Within days, one tree started wilting, shedding leaves, and is now bare. Despite repeated calls and messages — and even giving my full contact details — no one has bothered to call back or follow up. This is not just poor service, it’s complete disregard for customers. Highly unprofessional and deeply disappointing.

Purchased an ornamental crabapple tree in May 2023 which was planted by them. In spring 2024 the tree was not showing any signs of life so contacted them though by the time Marty came a few leaves had appeared. He said it was not under warranty and to cut off a few bottom branches, which we did. We thought maybe next year it would survive and regularly gave it fertilizer and water. We visited Branched Out Nursery for the first time last weekend, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! I did not know anything about trees, and I saw one that I have been eyeing for our backyard. Heidi was super friendly and answered the many, many questions I had. She was genuinely patient and hospitable to our family!

I returned a couple of days later to purchase three Swedish Columnar Aspens, which were on sale then. This time, Cathy helped us, and she was also very welcoming and kind to us. Again, we had a million more questions, and she kindly answered them all.

Heidi and Cathy made us feel welcome and not intimated. The warm and inviting atmosphere made our tree-shopping experience a delight. I would recommend Branched Out Nursery to anyone looking for plants for their home and backyard.

We bought an apple tree and a cherry tree 3 seasons ago at their season-end sale and our trees are still going strong 🙂 They have both produced fruit each season we have had them. Very happy. The owner is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as well 🙂

Poor Warranty Service and No Follow-Through on Dead Tree Replacement

If you’re considering this landscaping company for tree installation, be warned: they do not honor their warranty. I’ve been trying since beginning of May to get them to inspect and replace a clearly dead tree that didn’t survive the winter — and it’s been nothing but excuses, delays, and no-shows. I’ve offered to send photos (it’s obvious the tree is dead), but they insist on seeing it in person and then never show up for the scheduled visits.

The lack of accountability and customer service after the sale is incredibly frustrating. If you’re looking for a landscaping company that stands behind their work and actually follows through on tree warranty claims, I’d strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Delived a load of trees and shrubs here today from Manitoba. The site manager Marty and his team were amazing! Pleasure to deliver here. Walked around the property a bit and found it to be a really beautiful very big nursery. Definitely worth the drive if you live a little further away.

Horrible service. Avoid at all costs

I ordered a tree that was delivered and planted by Branched Out last year. En route the tree was damaged, yet, it was still planted. Once I noticed the damaged I spoke to Marty and he painted a product on it telling me that in a couple of years the tree will be fine. I told him that wasn’t true nor was it acceptable. Not only is the tree aesthetically displeasing, it is now weaker running risk to snapping in the wind, and prone to insect infestation. He told me to contact him next year. I did contact him next year. I have called numerous times over two months. This weekend I attended. I was fed another line and empty promise that the owner, Malcom would contact me. No surprise this didn’t happen.

I warn the rest of you. Branch Out’s prices are higher, their shrubs aren’t under warranty, and if they damage anything they won’t take responsibility. Don’t waste your time driving there. CLS have a larger selection of landscaping products while Costco, Home Depot, and Canadian Tire all have a better selection and prices on plants that even include a warranty.
