an act of God guys educate yourself owners I hope the birds are pulling the Staples out and throwing them on the ground for people's tires to collect maybe a tornado. But I believe you guys calling the act of God over and over again educate yourself on laws etcetera and act of God must not have human interference. employees not cleaning up the ground is not an act of God that is pure laziness and disrespect to the community of people that use your services. Dirtiest and worst covered ground I've ever been in in a lumber yard I've never seen so many nails Etc.

Wanted to buy a smoker. They had 2 in stock. Both built as floor models for no good reason leaving non still in box. Asked for a deal due to that and would have to haul it built and no way to unload alone. Was refused any deal and told I’m already getting one because they wouldn’t charge an assembly fee. Implying I couldn’t build it myself. This used to be a small town where they would offer to help but now it’s just cockyness. Still good in a pinch I guess but may as well go to Okotoks or Calgary for bigger purchases.

Stopped into Rona to purchase a multimeter so I could troubleshoot a refrigerator problem in our RV. Matt was super helpful and a pleasure to interact with. As was my visit in general at this Rona location. Keep up the great work everyone, you are appreciated 👏

When my granddaughter mistakenly purchased the wrong item, and didn't notice until she had destroyed the wrapping, it was unlikely that she would be able to get a refund. But kudos to the Rona Diamond Valley management! There was no business reason for them to help out, and I certainly would have accepted refusal. But they did help. At the end of the day their bottom line might have suffered a bit, but my respect for them grew. Thank you, Rona! you are a true contributor to our little town.

2025-05-26 Today I had another exceptional experience at this store. I had purchased 5 bags of spruce pellets, which I use as kitty litter.

I ordered at the service desk, and the associate loaded the 40lb bags onto a flat bed for me while I paid. When I got home, I noticed two things. First, it was the wrong product, and second, I had lost my receipt somewhere on the way home.

I headed back to the store, and spoke with Jerry? Terry?. He was great! Not having the receipt was no problem. He unloaded the 200lbs of pellets from my car for me, sorted everything out on the computer, and called ahead to the lumber yard to tell them I was coming, and why. The associate there was on the ball, and quickly loaded the correct pellets for me.

So a Rona mistake, which could be very upsetting to people (like me.....) who never make mistakes, instead left me feeling really good about the entire transaction. Your staff were unfailingly professional, cheerful - obviously enjoying interaction with the customer - and attentive.

For 3 years I had a retirement job with your orange competitor. Our entire team was focused on giving our customers a superior shopping experience that would keep people coming back. I think we did an admirable job, but with competition like you they better not get complacent!

I went to this store as the insulation I was looking for was not available in the stores in Calgary. My experience from the beginning to the end was excellent! The staff are very helpful and cheerful. I was in and paid for my purchase very quickly. The loding dock staff was also very prepared and brought out the materials very quickly. Overall, I feel it's one of the best run hardware/building materials store I have had the pleasure of visiting. I'd absolutely recommend black diamond Rona for large and small volume building materials purchase...

I came into today a guy name Chris Brown hair green hat guy he told me to pick my own stuff if I don't like this stuff he picks for me and he was kinda being rude and arrogant about it, I don't feel he was being polite n honest, thank you

Bought a keyless door lock at Rona. Everything seemed fine but it would not go through programming steps. Brought it back and exchanged for a similar model. Very nice people to deal with. Would definitely recommend this store. Will be back to shop again. Thanks Rona people.
