Our child has had such a wonderful experience at Oak Bay Preschool. Teacher Keira creates such a warm environment for the children to be able to feel at home while they learn through play. The nature of the co-operative preschool model allows for parents to be involved in their child’s preschool experience and get to create community together. The structure of each day allows for a lot of creativity, exploration, use of different art and play materials, time to connect and lots of wonderful outdoor time. The children learn to take care of each other and of their surroundings and it has been wonderful to see the children and their friendships blossom as they grow together at Oak Bay Preschool. Our family will definitely cherish the years we’ve spent at this preschool.

Oak Bay Preschool is my three year old’s first experience in a group setting and I’ve been absolutely impressed with the community of OBP. Keira and Thuy have created a wonderful environment for learning through play in a way that encourages creativity and curiosity in a safe, age appropriate way. We love OBP and are happy to go back again next year!

Our son has been attending OB preschool since October and loves it. The teachers, Keira and Thuy, are so sweet, thoughtful and supportive of all the families. The co-op aspect of the preschool has helped to build a really lovely community between the parents, teachers and children (including siblings who are too small to attend but love coming to share stories, music and play at drop off). I would 10/10 recommend this preschool to anyone looking for a nurturing environment and as a way to build connections in the community.

Absolutely can not speak highly enough of Oak Bay Preschool . Im so glad we took the chance on joining this one . Teacher Keira has a such incredible way with the children, and it’s such a kind, respectful, safe and encouraging environment for growth. If I had known how awesome it was we definitely would have joined a year earlier.

We've had a great experience at Oak Bay Preschool. Teacher Melanie is super creative and always has fun ideas for the kids. I like having a glimpse into what my kids are doing at preschool with the duty days and enjoy the community that a co-op provides. The parent education portion is interesting and useful (speakers on first aid, kindergarten, early math skills, physical literacy, parenting, etc). I also like how much time the kids spend outside.

Oak bay preschool is a real gem. Teacher Keira is so kind and wonderful with the children allowing them to develop their own interests and creativity. I also really love the coop model and being able to be involved with the school Community.

Can not recommend enough. Teacher Keira has helped our child come out of his shell and the school itself is a very supportive and welcoming environment. I love the independence it fosters while supporting learning and encouraging my child's interests.

Teacher Keira is the absolute best! My son loved his time at her preschool and learned so much! I love her philosophy, (my son models her behaviours expectations about being “kind and respectful”) and her brilliance when it comes to understanding small, developing people, was such a help navigating the preschool time. Her Music, art and care were all top notch! We’re so thankful we found Keira!
