It was a genuine joy working with Candace and her team. This included the initial in-person meeting, the professional back and forth discussions needed to create a master plan, and ultimately the hands-on building of our dream gardens. The work also included detailed drawings and descriptions of the proposed plants (and their care). When there were concerns over some of the plants these concerns were promptly addressed. The work in question involved replacing a large percentage of our (~1/2 acre of boring and environmentally unfriendly) lawn with several beautiful perennial gardens and a spectacular raised garden for growing vegetables. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and would highly recommend her to others!

Our yard had become wild and unruly, fence to fence plants that were being overrun and choked out by ground cover plants and weeds. We asked Candace to replace all this with a low maintenance garden. Her team removed plants we wanted to keep, then dug down deep and cleared the yard of everything else. Yards and yards of soil were brought in, our old plants were replanted, and many new ones. They then covered the ground with a thick layer of mulch. Candace planned the garden so we would have something blossoming throughout the growing season, and with very little care. A crew member returned a few days later to walk us through the Spring and Fall care for each plant. She also sent us a sketch of our yard with each plant identified, and a short description of the care she had mentioned earlier. Candace and her crew reflected their love of gardening and readily shared their knowledge. Very hard working and very professional, the crew completed the project in 2 days, and left the yard spotless.

Candace's team was outstanding! Not only did they work extremely hard (it was impressive!), they left our yard nearly cleaner than they found it. They were also absolutely lovely! They took time to tell us about the plants and answer all our questions. It was an absolute pleasure. We absolutely love our new shade garden. It is already stunning!

I just wanted to post the email I sent to Candace after our front and back gardens were completed yesterday.. ‘I just wanted to say your team were really outstanding. We’re so happy with the result and they were a pleasure to deal with. Our neighbours came by to say they’d been watching the progress and they couldn’t get over how well run the team was, how organised and efficient - not mention how impressed they are with the result. A big thank you to the team, particularly Rebecca who patiently explained everything and kept us in the loop and generally made the whole experience easy and thoroughly pleasant. Our kids were all here for dinner and they all went straight out to the garden to hang out which made my day!’ I can only add positives - Candace was easy to deal with in the design stages, she listened to my ideas and brought her own experience and creativity - even thinking of making paths for the dogs to run the fence without trampling flowers. I highly recommend CMLD without hesitation.

It has always been a pleasure to work with Candace and her team over the years. What started out as a low maintenance garden in the front, as requested, has now doubled in size. As well, our backyard garden has been a great success and this years' clean up. plus installation of some new plants and having new cedar mulch down has once again made all the difference.
It is ALWAYS a pleasure to have her team - led my Margaret - here at the house. While listening to our ideas, plus the insight they have, it always comes out as beautiful.
We highly recommend Candace and her dedicated team for your gardening needs.
