On October 28, 2024 around 6:30PM I was going very happy to my grocery store located in Oshawa, store that I use for over 12 years, in order to buy a product using the stamps allocated on the new running promotion. When at the cashier, I was advised that I cannot use the electronic stamps due to an error on the system, and a "floor supervisor" shows up trying to solve the problem. After a quick try at the customer service desk she said the same, and due to the fact that was the last and only one item left in the shelfs, I asked her what can be done, if she can hold the product for me for a later time. Instead to help or at least pretend that she is helping, this "manager of the hour" started giving me attitude, challenge my capability to understand what she is saying, in fact just hiding her incompetence behind of company policies, and blaming the system. She refused to provide her name, one of the employees called her Sarah, as she was probably afraid of a complaint which anyway was coming after how I was treat by her.
ZERO customer service skills, ZERO knowledge of the system and overall operations and company policies. I making this statement as this morning I was going at the superstore located in Whitby, and the employee working at the self scan area was able to help me to purchase the same product, despite the fact that at the cashier they encounter the same issue. When I mentioned to her my adventure the night before at the store in Oshawa, she was very surprised, especially because a "manager" was unable to help, according with her this was a common issue and any employee should be able to help. At the end, she apologize on behalf of the company for my negative experience, and this is what I call 10 STARS CUSTOMER SERVICE and KNOWLEDGE of the position.
Hoping that the Store Manager will see this review, I strongly advise him to choose wisely his team members, especially supervisors who suppose to be a role model in regards with customer service and knowledge of the business, work with them and change the mentality, make them to understand that customers are the bone of the business, and based on their satisfaction business can run well, and employees can have a job that will provide essentials for the family.

I went to pay tonight at one of the two open lanes as I had too much stuff for checkout, well the lane I went to the cashier said she had too much stuff on her belt and had to close (a bunch of BS as there were two items on the belt). There was a line up at the other register so I tried the self checkout. A bunch of the things I got wouldn't scan, so the attendant helped me out, then items that should have scanned wouldn't because the super sensitive pressure plate didn't notice the weight coming off the one side. Such a pain in the arse... What's the point of having a scan gun if it's unusable to scan the stuff in my cart? I gave up and tried the cashier lane again.

They must have a cell phone blocker in the store because as I went to use my PC optimum app to get my card well I couldn't access it. So I had to hold up the line and connect to the store's Wi-Fi just so I could get points.

I knew I would have problems before I went into the store, but I went anyways as my local store is out of the way and this one is on the way home.

I frequent this store more than once a week. I have complained multiple times that the fresh salads are not taped well enough. My salad either pops open trying to get it into bag or taking it out of the bag. You can’t even put it with other groceries. Today when I complained as it pooped open trying to get it in the bag and cashier did not have tape so I went to customer service and was told ya they used to tape them, and she walked away. I used the tape on the counter myself to reseal the container. Food is expensive and there is no room for waste that can be avoided!

I am so tired of this location not having the items I need. The Dairy Department consistently has no stock when it comes to the PC brand Greek 2% Plain Yogurt. There is constantly a hole on the shelf, but they have OVER STOCK of the vanilla yogurt, the shelf is full and so is a bunker. Do they ever look at the number of sales on the computer? It's not rocket science, they can see they constantly sell out of the plain yogurt so why don't they adjust the order to reflect that? Keep a little extra in the back so you can fill the shelf. I've gone through the bunker before and many of the Vanilla Greek Yogurts are either close to expired or fully expired. It clearly doesn't sell as well as the Plain. Just bump the order for the Plain Yogurt. Can anyone look into this for me? I've spoken directly to the people who work Dairy, I've asked them if they can talk to the manager of the department. Maybe a review will help.

I have lived in this area for many years. The Super Store was once great but every year it gets worse and worse. I can't wait until a new grocery store opens in this area. Lately the lines are bad, trying to get help to find a product is near impossible. 1 day I asked 3 employees, 30 minutes later it was still not found. The produce is very poor, worst I've seen actually at any grocery store here in town. I'd love to shop there but now I just run there for the odd item I may've forgotten or need last minute. It's unfortunate it's gone down hill.

I bought potatoes from the store when they were on sale. Most of the potatoes were bad, I had 4 bags and found only a few were good. When I opened the first bag, I saw that most of them are bad and went to return the rest of the bags in store but the lady at the customer service did not even listen properly and came to the conclusion quickly that she can’t return them without the original receipt. She spoke very rudely when I said that I bought it 10 days ago. The thing is when I needed them, I opened one of the bag, it does not matter what day I should open. If they cannot return anything then they shouldn’t be selling bad items either. Those bags had a foul odor. I would say this superstore has a really bad service and I am never going back there. It felt like as soon as she saw me, she made her mind; it could be racism too as we both were of different race.

PC Express from this location is tragic. There is not a single order that I have received that is consistently fresh or correct. I've had watermelons that were liquified on the inside one day after purchase, slimy, smelly green beans, etc. Yesterday over half of my order never made it into the delivery driver's car. The quality and service is just terrible, so I'll be switching delivery services.

I find that the staff in the meat department here is extremely rude. The posted price is clearly mark - beef flank is $6.88/lbs. We bought some and they charged us double the price. We told them that's not the price they have on the sign and they said they will adjust the price for us, but "I will not honour the price again next time. I don't play this game!"
I don't understand what game we are playing here! They posted a price for something and we agree to buy it for the posted price. Is this a game? If they make a mistake in the pricing, admit it and fix it. They made it like we are cheating on them or stealing from them instead of admitting to the mistake and say sorry.
