For a town the size of Sechelt and considering it is fairly remote, I am impressed with the size and selection of the grocery store. The prices are reasonable too.

They have a staff-serviced deli, a good produce section, and many other non-food related odds and ends.

This has been our go-to stop when passing through.

A HUGE shout out to the staff at Clayton’s .
This past Saturday a lovely lady had ordered two catering platters and was about to take them through the cashier when they slipped off her shopping cart right onto the floor .
It was heartbreaking.
This poor lady instantly began to weep.
My sister and I quickly scooped her up and physically supported her and walked her over to the deli.
I informed the lady behind the counter if what had transpired and told her the trays would have to be remade.
All the while the lady was inconsolable.

The wonderful lady behind the counter said she’d have to phone the lady who makes the catering trays and ask her to come back in.
She did JUST THAT and the amazing lady she called …. CAME BACK!!!!!
That amazing lady is MAGGIE!

Great grocery store. Super easy to navigate, the produce section wasn’t as large as I’d like it to be but otherwise was visually appealing and plentiful in what it did have. A sophisticated bakery with donuts and long johns (let’s go bud) as well as other pastries and breads. A couple rows of frozen food were available, and a shelf or two of drinks were there.

I’ve been shopping here for years. I figured they would honour an advertised tag price when I was over charged 50% but all I got was lame sorry and a refund which is fine but disappointed a bit in the customer service. I’m not entitled it’s just principle to me, I’ve worked at Save on Foods, Safeway, Sobeys we always would honour our price tags. I bring back the item the next day after taking with the manager and see the tag is gone. That pissed me off too. Just shady. My experience at Clayton’s hasn’t been the best over the years just the staff in general seem stuck up. You ask for help and they look at you like you just interrupted a federal case

Clayton's may have been this great family business 30 years ago but nowadays it's stocked with rude older women that don't seem to have a care for custom service. My guess is they started there outta high-school and they are too comfortable in their jobs. The store has very little local or BC products. It's also home of HIGH prices. Being 'local' is not a free pass to suck your community dry, using 'Heritage' as a cover. Tired of this 'support small business' nonsense when we are being pillaged by greed.

I love Clayton’s. If you look for the deals you can save lots of money. Always quality produce and meats. Amazing friendly and kind staff.
