Okay, so I've been needing to write a new review for some time now. Moved to owensound just under 2 years ago now and fell absolutely in love with this home depot right away because of the wonderful staff there. After a few months, I had 2 separate customer service incidents, which really irritated me with one of them really leaving a bad mark on me and on them, and I had changed my review to reflect my experience. However, since then, there have been no issues at all, and my kids and I still like shopping there . Once again, my positive shopping experience outweighs the negative. What happened was not at all anything to do with store management or operations but rather just a particular person's customer service skills and communication skills or lack thereof. The manager cared enough to know what happened that he asked me in store while I was there with my son shopping, and we spoke about the reason for the review I left. Overall, I believe that this Home Depot does, in fact, deserve a 5 star rating, so I'm bringing it back to that. The staff are helpful and the sales deals are good and it's usually a pleasant shopping experience that even my young boys enjoy. Thank you to the wonderful, kind, and polite associates that work hard to keep the business running smoothly.

Neil in lumber greeted me with a smile and helped me figure a solution to a problem I was having. He went out of his way to make sure I had what I needed even though it took some time and he had to call for backup to help another customer. He was so friendly and helpful and it was very appreciated. I kind of needed a win and he turned my day around.
He absolutely deserves recognition and a raise 🙂

This has got to be the biggest clown show of a business I've ever seen. My wife ordered a washer and dryer a month ago. Fast forward to last week, and we get a delivery for two WASHERS and no dryer. The one guy didn't even realize he'd brought a second washer upstairs to the laundry room until he was about to leave. We were told they couldn't take the extra washer back that day and that we'd have to call Home Depot. Wait, it gets better. We called and complained about the issue and were assured that a truck would be back in one week to collect the extra washer that wasn't ordered and deliver the dryer. Fast forward to today, and they have the dryer on the truck but went to the wrong address which was only one kilometer away from the correct address. Wouldn't you know they're unable to drive to the right address and told us the dryer would have to be delivered another day. If I could give this place zero stars I would. What a clown show. Maybe if Home Depot bothered to pay their employees a livable wage they'd actually care about doing their job right. Avoid this location at all costs. They don't care about their employees or their customers.

Today was my worst experience with the staff at the Owen Sound location. Unfriendly and unprofessional. Lots of staff on hand but very young standing around socializing with each other and snickering at my struggle to get help with my pickup order. When I finally got some help the gazebo was literally in pieces and when we got everything home there was no instructions. This is a 10x12 gazebo, it’s scuffed up because it was a display model and probably mishandled when taken down for me to pickup. I am not a happy customer today and the staff I dealt with today should be ashamed of themselves

Worst customer service EVER. Waited almost an hour to get a sheet of plywood cut, so it fit in my car. My advice if you need some wood cut, bring your own saw and cut it in the parking lot.

Just wanted to say how impressed with Neven we were. Recovering from medical issue Nevan gladly helped us load our flooring onto the cart then again into the back of the truck.
Excellent worker.

Phone answered by automated service, that sucks. Finally got to a human who couldn't help, put on hold, this happend 3 times!! Crappy service, I'll go buy elsewhere. Buy local they say. Had to give you one star, zero stars wasn't available.

We went to exchange a malfunctioning pressure washer, we traveled two days back and forth back and forth to get it repair and finally it was damaged from factory. They asked us to travel another 1 hour to empty gas and oil, with what money? Gas is expensive these days and already we spent a lot of money and effort trying to get repaired a product of $1000 dollars that we bought new! Finally manager by forced accepted the machine but refused the exchange, saying we need to be thankful he was accepting the return of the machine (even though we were within one month of purchase. He said he had to go and ask DeWalt to send another machine back! This is NUTS!!! We asked for compensation for the gas for our car we spent moving that machine for days to get it fix, for our time, for the gas and oil inside of the machine, and refused to do so, not even apologizing for all the troubles we went through. Who pays $1000 dollars to be put in suffer? Never again with DeWalt, never again with this Home Depot for purchasing power tools, THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND OF THEIR PRODUCTS!
