There is no better place to take your family for a day outdoors. There are walking trails near craven, then the beach has restrooms, changing rooms and even showers for $1 a minute. It was very clean and well taken care of, with a Large volleyball court, & play structures for all ages. My 11 year old daughter could not stop going through the obstacles and slides. Plus the beach itself has shade for small children and lots of sun for people wanting to just relax and get a tan. The sand is lovely and well taken care of, no litter anywhere. There are picnic tables and benches for families to enjoy a full day of being outside. Recycling bins and trash available everywhere. Also lots of parking available at the beach location. Plus lots of green grass to just enjoy being a kid. There is also a local store in the small town available to stock up on any supplies you might have forgotten.
Also we found some kittens and realized there are so many dumped off daily so if looking for a new member of the pet family you might find one.

Nice quiet-ish beach. We went on Canada day and we’re easily able to find a nice spot on the beach. Water was nice aswell, not crazy rocky or gross
