Just spent Thursday-Monday at the House of the Friesians and have to say it was short of amazing!

We rented out the barn, shelter and cabin for a small wedding and it was everything we could have ever wished for. The place was absolutely beautiful and just having the backdrops of the mountains was unreal.

The owner Gerard was very attentive and did an extraordinary job with making sure we had everything going above and beyond. Andrea a worker that helped make sure we had everything for the wedding and was equally amazing.

I highly recommend this place for anyone that wants a beautiful venue in the mountains. Thank you again for the amazing time we will never forget!

This horse farm exceeded all our expectations!! It was so beautiful with the loveliest couple who kindly opened up their farm for us and gave us a tour. It was a pleasure to meet Gerald and Caio! This location is amazing with a nice view. Everything is so clean, organized and the animals are well taken care of. We will definitely be coming back here someday!!

What a beautiful place! The owners are super helpful and friendly. Great wedding venue, great place for a bachelorette celebration (that's what we did), or just a great place to get away! Plenty of space, can sleep SO many people if needed. An awesome experience and we're planning on coming back

We travelled from Manitoba for a family reunion this past week - what a great location! Such a beautiful setting, breathtaking views everywhere. We were made to feel so welcome - as Gerard said, it was our home while we were there. Gerard and Caio made us feel so welcome. The kids (and adults!) loved the horse riding. There was so much room for all of us to sleep, cook together and visit. A perfect location to spend time together. Thank you for everything!

Gerard and Ciao are some of the nicest people my wife and I have ever met. We had my wedding here and they helped make it one of the best days of our lives. They were very generous and you could feel the love radiating off of them. The scenery is absolutely world class. We cannot think of one thing that would of made it better than what we experienced. Our guests told us that they had the time of their lives too! If you're wondering about having your wedding at Gerard and Ciao's House of the Friesians, do it!! You will have the time of your life!

Our stay in the cabin was a spur of the moment decision to get away for some R&R and it exceeded our expectations! It is off grid yet it had every appliance and amenity we were used to. The place was impeccably clean and the beds are worth 10 stars! The cabin can host a large family gathering as it will sleep 15 people comfortably. Our young children really enjoyed the unique hot tub experience! The owners will do anything to ensure you have the BEST time! They even went through the effort to mail jewelry we had forgotten when we left which we greatly appreciate! Overall we had a great time and there are no regrets. Oh and the scenery is Amazing!!

I am hesitant to leave a review as I don't want to give away such a beautiful secret but it's mean not to share so here goes!
We discovered this incredible place looking for a venue for my music and singing retreats and have been regular guests of the cabin ever since. We have stayed in the heat of summer and mid winter and either time,  it's beautiful, comfortable and provides so many options for hikes and adventure or simply relaxing. Its perfect for anyone looking for an "off grid" feel without losing the conveniences and luxuries of a relaxing and comfortable getaway. Gerard and Caio are incredible hosts and if you get to meet Mowgli you are in luck!  We can't wait to get back to our favorite place! Many thanks Emma & Jason

My family and I stayed at the log cabin for just under a week, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our hosts were very gracious and welcoming. They even gave us fresh eggs from their chickens, and baked muffins as well. There were lots of activities, such as horse riding, canoeing, hiking, and that's just to name a few. Mr. Gerard made sure that we had lots to do lots of fun during our stay. If you want a media and internet free getaway, I highly recommend staying here.
