Well, now we all have to suffer and pay an advance. We want to make an appointment for one of our pats and we haven't been there and over 2 years. But I was there in less than 2 years. And she still would not. Give me the prescript ten for flea medication for my cat. She also wouldn't give me an appointment for my new Pet, a dog because I didn't have the money on me at the time to pay an advance. I'm on pension so I asked for appoint on or about pension day .....I asked her since when do we have to pay her in advance.. She said because people make appointments and don't show up. And thats my problem/fault or all those other people having to pay in advance. Obviously we pay when we pick up our pet or after our pets have been treated. Isn't that when they tell us how much we owe? To ask for payment in advance when we want to make an appointment is ridiculous. I have to look for a new vet. Because of that, 'cause I don't want to get my pension. Then call and make an appointment and find a cat. Get in for 3 or 4 weeks. Which has been the case in the past.. I thought I was being smart asking for an appointment on or about pension day so that I would be able to pay the bill. So discouraging and disappointing.. She did tell me however, that I could get the flea medication at the pet store in town. So that's what I did had. I known you could buy that stuff in the pet stars. Now I wouldn't have went to the vets for it. But I did also go there to make an appointment for my new companion Only to be turned away because I couldn't pay that day.. I already knew I was gonna be putting out close to $200 just for flea treatment for 2 cats, a dog and carpets. I wouldn't have been able to get the flea treatments. Had I paid an advance for my dog to have an appointment to get checked for the first time.

Our dog was quite listless 8 days ago and had a distended stomach. PSAH gave a time late Monday morning when we called at opening. My wife took Teak and our friend from Rochester, who was visiting. Both were very impressed with Dr. Jones. Both have experience with vets and animals. Turns out Teak likely had cancer of liver and spleen. X-rays and blood work so revealed.
We brought her back the next day and said goodbye. Dr. Jones and team were great. Crappy day, but well done on their part all round.
We live in Calgary and spend August in Rosseau. What a great find!

I recently visited Parry Sound Animal Hospital on an emergency basis for my dog, we were a two-hour drive from our regular veterinarian. Without any hesitation, they accommodated us! Dr. Jones, Melanie and Danielle were truly amazing—very compassionate and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Jones and his team.

I had an allergy emergency with my cat. The staff found me an appointment although they were fully booked. The staff was patient, calming and very efficient. The vet was very knowledgeable n explained the radiographs(xrays) n tests and gave me an accurate cost estimate before treatment. She was very gentle and very thorough in her examination. I would highly recommend this practice. My cat is home on medication n doing very well.

We had an emergency with our dog Charlie. A serious cut in deep into her paw and we could not stop the aggressive bleeding . We arrived roughly 20 minutes before scheduled closing time. The team immediately took great care of Charlie. They stayed and performed the required surgery to address the wound. Thank you very much for you wonderful care.
