Dr. Derek has been caring for my Lucy since she was just 9 weeks old and I even followed him when he opened his own clinic, Virgil Animal Hospital. He’s always taken such wonderful care of her — I completely trust him. At our most recent visit we met Dr. Destiny and she’s a fantastic addition to the team! She took her time with Lucy, who’s now 10 and was so kind, patient, and thorough. She really listened and addressed all of my concerns which left me feeling confident and reassured. The entire staff is friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. If you’re looking for a veterinary clinic that truly cares Virgil Animal Hospital is the place to go.

My family and I lost our beloved almost 3 year old cat Kai this past December 28th & were not able to imagine getting another. Then we saw two 9 wk old brothers on Monday that needed a home & couldn’t resist! As the expenses are now double for everything I called around to compare costs at local vet clinics and this was the most fair. I’m so glad we booked here as upon entry it was so warm and welcoming the front desk staff is professional and very personable. Dr. Destiny was a breath of fresh air that made the experience a memorable first for my 8 year old son and the kittens. I still however ended up short on our first visit & without a credit card on me and they graciously allowed for e-transfer of the remaining. They have us for life!

Dr.Lansing is the best, she is knowledgeable , super pleasant and my dog likes her. Other perks are easy to get convenient appointments and the location being close to Pet Valu!

Dr Derek and his staff are amazing! They all make you feel so welcome and the whole team goes above and beyond to make sure your pet gets the best care possible. I had 3 dogs when I moved here ,unfortunately I lost one and the entire staff sent a condolence card and this past Christmas made a beautiful ornament with my sweet Charms name . This is a team that really cares ! I’m am so blessed I found them . My little doxie Cadbury has a lot of health issues and when Dr Derek doesn’t have all the answers he always reaches out to other specialists to find the best treatment!

Dr. Nichols and his staff are absolutely amazing. Unfortunately yesterday we had to put our dog down and the care and compassion that not only Dr. Nichols but also his staff had during this very difficult time was so comforting. I knew Marley was very comfortable when he took his last breath and I am thankful I got to be there with Marley through this transition. I am so thankful for kind and compassionate veterinarians. I will never entrust our dogs to anyone but Dr. Nichols he is the best of the best. Thank you so very much.

We started bringing our 8 year old husky here after he was diagnosed with glaucoma by another vet who we felt was upselling us and overcharging for services. We are so glad we switched because we have had nothing but great experiences since. Our dog has been treated with such love & care. All the office staff are very friendly. Great communication and prompt appointments. Highly recommend this vet clinic.
