Terrible experience, avoid this hotel.

We tried to stay at the Prestige Hotel in Nelson and were shocked by how dirty it was. There were dead bugs on the floor throughout the hotel, and we even found a bug inside the bed. The sheets clearly hadn’t been washed but the bed has been made ready for the next guest. There were stains and human hair in the bedding. The shower and toilet were also filthy, with more hair and stains visible.

We booked two rooms in person under my coworker name, and both were equally bad. Within five minutes, we walked out and asked for a refund.

And about the train, they wait until after you’ve paid to tell you there’s a train track right behind the hotel that runs in the middle of the night. Don’t worry though, they thoughtfully provide earplugs.

One of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had at this price range. Avoid at all costs unless you like sleeping in a stranger filth.

When we got to our room for our anniversary trip, it was evidently double booked as it had not been prepared whatsoever since the previous night. It was a balcony suite (which they had already upgraded us to for free) and instead of moving us to a different room we were given a beautiful suite at the resort! I was very impressed with their commitment to giving us a great experience!

Attempting to call this hotel has been a truly humbling experience. I've been trying to give them my hard-earned money for the last couple of hours, but it appears they are either extremely popular or allergic to reservations. I've been hitting redial so often my finger might need a vacation, and all I get is the sweet, sweet sound of a busy signal. It's like a siren song, but instead of luring me to my doom, it's just telling me to go book somewhere else.

The face of a hotel is determined by the staff at front desk. If you’re gonna put a staff who does not know to communicate in a proper manner then you’re gonna be losing customers. Please train your staff not to be snobs. The supervisor on duty at the time was however nice enough to get our room back in order and cleaned promptly and with a smile unlike the receptionist with an attitude.

Very helpful and friendly front desk ladies. HORRIBLE and minimal parking spaces. Definitely not enough for even a half full hotel. Views of the lake and mountains were pleasant. I little farther away from the main streets

This was my first time booking at Prestige Inn Nelson, and it wasn’t a simple reservation - I was booking on behalf of a teammate, with a few specific and complicated requests. Despite that, the team at the hotel went above and beyond to assist every step of the way.

Big shout out to Kayla, Charisse, Sheila, and Christine - each of them was professional, helpful, and extremely responsive. Their support made the whole process smooth and stress-free, which is not always the case with business travel.

The location is fantastic: close to the water, downtown, and supermarkets - perfect for someone on a business schedule needing quick access to essentials. Good rooms, fair pricing, and excellent service make this a great value overall.

Highly recommend Prestige Inn Nelson for any business travel needs, especially if you’re managing bookings for your team. Exceptional service all around.

I should give all 5 star for Prestige Inn. Acutally I like to location the best after I stroll on Baker street --- several hotels on trip.com (or ***********) are on Baker street and parking is an issue. Prestige Inn has ample parking, great view to the lake. The only thing is that the rail is close --- 2 trains passing per day and it seems guests are excited on balconies to see the trains!Reception lady is very polite, professional and gave us a free upgrade. Be carefull at booking: a few basic queen room are in half basement(have windows), showing floor B1 on booking page. They don't have air conditioning. Highly recommended this hotel!!! They have Prestige Resort which is 5 mintues walk along the lakeshore, to have pool, restaurants... to enjoy.

Stayed here two times now. First time I booked the "accessible room" which was not great at all (2021ish?). Small, bed against the wall, and the bathroom was in terrible shape. There was mold in the caulking and was not what I expected for accessible. Extra grab bars into a regular tub, with a fixed shower head maybe 4 ft up. Pretty big surprise and inconvenience for anyone who is wanting to stand to shower.

Second time we stayed (this summer) we booked a regular room. It was ok. Bathroom walls have been cut into/repaired multiple times as evidenced by the cuts in the wallpaper; after 3 or 4 times, maybe its time just to replace the wallpaper on the entire wall so it doesnt look so shabby. Patio is nice but it would be better to have sheers in addition to the provided curtains so you could actually have sunlight come in without losing privacy.

The $10 off in exchange for declined housekeeping is a big scam in my opinion. They made the coupons available for use the day of checkout - at that point, we're leaving Nelson so these coupons are useless. So basically the hotel saves paying it's staff for housekeeping and gets only a small fraction of people going to the other hotel to redeem their coupons at the restaurant. Win/win for them.

The parking lot is pretty tough to get out of with the one way exiting onto the busier of the two streets.

No vending machine or concession was a shock as I've never seen a hotel with absolutely nothing to purchase for drinks.

Staff members I dealt with were friendly and the location itself is pretty convenient.

Overall I think this hotel is pretty overpriced for what you're getting.
