Nelson's Nature Playground

This park is a nature lover's dream come true. The trails are lined with informative signs that tell you all about the trees and plants, so you can feel like a real botanist. And the dogs? Let's just say it's a furry paradise. There are so many dogs running around, you might think you're at a doggy day care. And if you're feeling sporty, there's a great basketball court to shoot some hoops. It's the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Nelson."

Lovely, relaxing park with views of the famous bridge in Nelson, lots of places to have picnics, play sports, and walk dogs. There are some nice spots to go for a walk, too. There is a huge soccer field where kids have practice and a little cafe for snacks and drinks.

Surrounded by mountains with BOB (big orange bridge) overhead? Sign me up! Sandy beach with shallow access, grassy park space and playground for little folks, bathrooms, floaty rentals, reasonably priced food pavilion, a dock to jump off of
the recipe for a perfect Kootenay afternoon.

What an amazing park in Nelson. Visited in fall, so I didn’t get to see the tram in operation and all the soccer goals were put away ready for the winter. Despite that, there were some beautiful scenery, and a perfect time to visit to watch the leaves change colour. There are various bins that keep the park tidy along with a beach towards the north end of the park, which must be lovely in the summer. There are also plenty of benches to stop at admire the view as well as various cultural displays within the park.
