We’ve been happy customers for over 3 years — but unfortunately, this time was different. I purchased wagyu yesterday for total $257, and when I opened the package, there was an unusually strong smell that was hard to ignore. The smell was overwhelming and unpleasant.

The ribeye, in particular, had a very noticeable odor and we didn’t feel comfortable eating it. The meat didn’t seem very fresh, and even while cooking it, there was a sour smell that made us worry it had gone bad. The texture of the meat also seemed off — quite mushy and not what we’ve come to expect from past purchases.

It was disappointing, especially considering the price and our previous positive experiences.

This Japanese wagyu beef butcher shop is hands down my go-to spot! The quality of the wagyu here is unparalleled—every cut melts in your mouth and tastes incredible. Whether it’s A5-grade or other premium options, the marbling is always perfect. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to recommend the best cuts for grilling, hotpot, or anything in between. The shop is clean, well-organized, and it’s clear they care about maintaining top-tier standards. I don’t bother going anywhere else—this is the only place I trust for top-quality wagyu!

Very disappointed purchase, we bought wagyu beef several times before, but this time, the lady gave half of those beef that we never saw in the tray and it’s not the same quality as those shown in the fridge. The A5 beef is very expensive and it’s frustrating to see when we open the package at home. Those ‘whiter’ portion taste strange and I think it’s not a honest way of doing business. This portion costs me $50 (200g)

We plan to buy some meats set for our first time Sukiyaki for the weekend and find out they also have vegetables set which is amazing. Savings a lot of our time and cost because we don't have to buy many different ones and can't finish it.

The meats here are always of good quality and the symbol of Kobe wagyu in front of the cashier makes it more confident for us to purchase from them.

Not much from service need because this is like a butcher shop and love to come back every time we want some fancy beef meats from đŸ‡ŻđŸ‡”

If you want premium meat products, this is the go to place. However, if you plan to get better than average quality and not ready to spend $200 on wagyu and only want to spend around $25 for a nice steak, this is not your place.

Aside from beef, they also have chicken and pork. All packaged well and available frozen.

They also have ready to cook veggie platter for $18. It’s convenient but rather pricy.

Master butcher and chef Seiko Ishiguro sells the finest natural healthy meats around, no chemicals, sourced from local farms, including superb Wagyu and Kobe from Japan! As a diehard foodie and former trained chef, my favorite things at Famu are all the delectable prepared foods and treats that Seiko cooks herself. Who needs to cook after a long workday if you know the finest places to shop on the way home. Just please leave some things for me! Highest recommendation!!

The only place I know of in the GTA that sells authentic Japanese Wagyu beef. Not your everyday beef!

I purchased the Japanese A5 wagyu ribeye because I wanted to try the best, most desired meat available. It was amazing, different than any other beef. Melts if your mouth, literally.

You only need a little to be satisfied. 5 people shared 1 ribeye and that was enough for us.

They have a variety of wagyu beef - Australian Wagyu, USA Wagyu, and Japanese. Prices are high as expected for this quality of meat.

The store is hiding from street view.

Didn't buy any of the wagyu when I visited, but the quality was evident. Probably one of the only places in all of the GTA you can go to for authentic wagyu. The staff was quite friendly too
