Yesterday I was in the store with my best friend from out of town. We were wandering the aisles like a couple of goobers, debating the very important question of which snacks to buy. We landed on the timeless combo: Original Ruffles + French onion dip. Feeling smug and satisfied with our choice, we were about to head off when suddenly like a snack fairy godparent Mark appeared from behind a glorious mountain of chips.

With whimsical confidence, he suggested we grab a second bag of Ruffles. Naturally, we asked if there was a sale. Nope. No deal. No promotion. Just Mark, following his instincts. We laughed, shrugged, and took his advice.

And wouldn’t you know it; Mark was right. We NEEDED that second bag. I’m now convinced he’s a secret agent for Team Ruffles, protecting snackers everywhere from the tragedy of running out too soon.

So thank you, Mark, for your snack wisdom and perfectly timed chip intervention. You made our shopping trip (and our movie night) way better.

During a recent visit to the Vernon Superstore with my mother, who is over 70, we went through the checkout with two separate orders. Neither of us was asked if we wanted the "Deal of the Week." Afterward, I took my receipt to customer service and mentioned that we hadn't been offered the deal. The lady at the counter immediately called the cashier and asked him if he had offered it. He responded, "Yes." I told her that he did not ask either my mom or me, and we would not both go over to claim the deal. I questioned what she was going to do with the kid's sunscreen. In the end, the lady gave me the bottle, and I reiterated that neither of us was offered the deal and that her associate had lied to her.

This is not the first time I've encountered an associate failing to ask about the deal. Sometimes I take advantage of it, and other times I don’t. If you are going to make this offer, at the very least, you should follow through when someone states it wasn't offered. We spend hundreds of dollars on groceries, and while we could have bought our sunscreen, we appreciated the store's effort to offer a deal. However, I felt frustrated while witnessing the phone call and his lie to the customer service representative while looking directly at me. It's unbelievable.

If you struggle to follow through on your offers, perhaps you shouldn't make them in the first place! This experience reflects poor customer service.

This place is good to buy all the stuff at one place, we love doing our grocery shopping here and must say that most of the staff that work there are polite and would assist you well. There is a lot of price saving option, you just got to be there when they put up things on sale.

I am a foreigner, just here for one year. I used to like RCS very much because it seems to be one of the very few rational priced supermarkets (just for interest, in Germany EVERY Supermarket is normal priced, they differ by 5-10% max.
Anyways, since I liked it I drove here, 45 minutes. Then you guys just pushed the bacon price on 8$, which was 5-6$ for two months now. Last time I bought it three days ago.

You exploit your own people, and your market is protected, if Aldi would be available y’all grocery stores can close. I don’t understand how in a market orientated economy there’s room for such failure

I had a worst experience with the management in Vernon, BC. i literally applied for the job online and received and invitation for a virtual interview on 25th August 2025. I joined the interview on Teams and no one bothered to show up I waited and wasted my time no one was there for an interview. Later that day when I called the store to enquire about this I spoke to Manager, he was extremely rude to me and didn’t even care to answer my question and when I confronted him about being rude he hung up my call and didn’t give me his name. This is so disgusting from the Manager itself. Whoever that was on the phone doesn’t deserve to be a Manager. He was extremely disrespectful doesn’t even care to know the situation and hung up on me!
