We visited Barrie Hill Farms for strawberry picking and it was such a wonderful family experience. The kids had so much fun running through the rows, picking their own strawberries, and enjoying the sweetness of the fruit right there in the fields. It was a joyful and memorable day outdoors.

What I really loved was how well organized everything was — easy to access, very family-friendly, and the staff were welcoming and kind. The whole atmosphere felt relaxed and inviting, perfect for children and adults alike.

After strawberry picking, we stopped by the farm market, where we found high-quality products: fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and other local treats. Everything looked and tasted authentic, healthy, and truly farm-fresh.

I would highly recommend Barrie Hill Farms to anyone looking for a fun day in nature with kids, delicious food, and a chance to recharge in a beautiful environment. We’ll definitely be back for more fruit seasons!

Have been coming here with family and friends for almost 2 decades. Things have changed. I'm not talking about the weather dependant crops, that's understandable. The young staff in the market and food handling areas are not personable or pleasant. The female manager with glasses treats staff poorly, especially the foreign workers. On more than one occasion while visiting the farm I have witnessed her talking unprofessionally to these workers, as well as about them to other Canadian staff.
Positives: it's beautiful here, fruit is typically in abundance, it's local, the store is stocked with local businesses products and they support Hospice Simcoe.
Please consider fixing the road the tractor takes out to the fields, it needs grading/filling. This being said, the wagon ride is by far enjoyable. I've noticed one of the workers who tries to provide exceptional service and has many people smiling and laughing, high fiving the children - someone asked his name and he said Edgar. That's the type of positivity the younger staff should exhume when working the market and cash. I will continue to support and making memories here but hoping things don't go downhill.

Barrie Hill Farms is our seasonal local hangout. From first strawberries to pumpkin season, we’re there for pick-your-own, wagon rides, and farm-market treats. The kids love racing down the rows while we load up on just-picked berries, crisp apples, and still-warm pies and shortcakes. Staff are friendly, everything’s well organized, and there’s always something new with each visit—summer berries, late-season apples, and all the cozy fall vibes. It’s the perfect low-key day out close to home. Pro tip: check the farm’s crop report and go early on sunny weekends.

I wish I discovered this place before! Late october you can only find strawberries (which are delicious by the way) and pumpkins, everything else is done for the season. Place is big, nice and workers are friendly as well. Price wise the produce is quite expensive but I believe it's worth it for the good quality.

One of the best farms we’ve ever visited! Loads of free parking as you enter. We picked for raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. You pay $9 for the wagon shuttle which is taken off your total when you pay for what you pick. I have never in my life tasted a strawberry as delicious as the ones here. Like, seriously. They’re divine. Word of caution!! When we brought it home and put it in the fridge, the berries got all mushy. I guess because they’re not coated in pesticides and preservatives! Would suggest you freeze them or make sure they’re in a sealed container. Or just eat them that same day! We had pizza for lunch which was delicious. What a great way to spend an afternoon.

On our way back to Cleveland, Ohio from our annual trip to the family cottage on Lake Temagami, we wanted to add in something fun that our kids (4yo and 7yo) would enjoy. I’m so glad we found Barrie Hill Farms- the whole experience was wonderful and the staff were very friendly. We loved picking strawberries and raspberries and can’t wait to come back next year for blueberry and corn picking time!
