We purchased 12 buff orpingtons in June 17th, and since then out of the 12th six of them died from a generic disorder. I contacted Kevin and he found it the price of five of them and then he wanted me to send a picture of any more passed away and I did and I haven't heard from him. We have to keep them away from her other chickens to make sure it's not something that can be passed on.
Would I recommend for someone to buy buff orpingtons from him, NO.

Active Life Farms has some of the healthiest chicks we have ever purchased. We are very happy with his birds. We have purchased from Kevin a few times over the years and still have some of his hens on our farm. Some are over 5 years old and still doing well.

We ordered chicks from this farm back in March, with an expected date to pick them up Easter weekend. Easter came and went with no word as to when to pick up our chicks. Contacted the farm asking for an update. We were told chicks would then be ready at the end of April. April has come and passed, I again reached out to the farm asking for an update on May 25. I am still waiting for an update on the chicks, they’ve decided to not respond but continue to actively post on their social media accounts. I understand it’s a farm and they are busy, but keeping your customers updated if there’s been delays is the least they could do .

We have had some unresolved issues with this farm concerning our recent purchase of chicks, specifically the barred rock. Three out of four are not doing well. I'm guessing it's an issue with that breed as the other chicks we purchased are doing fine. We have tried to contact the owners regarding this, but they are not responding. Use caution with this breeder and check your chicks well before purchasing.
