First question: “Who do you live with?”
Next: “Where’s his dad? What’s your custody situation?”
…Sir, are we crossing the border or filming a therapy episode?

I said that was personal and irrelevant. He said I had two options:
1. Trauma dump in front of my kid.
2. Get charged with obstruction.

Then the man threw a tantrum and called SEVEN armed officers to swarm me and my son like we were working for El Chapo and smuggling cartel gold in a Pokémon towel. Bro had more gear than Batman and still needed backup to handle one tired mom and a soggy 7-year-old with a plushie duck.

Stop traumatizing children.

Had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience at the Peace Bridge border crossing. As Canadian PR holders returning home with my wife, we were treated with unnecessary rudeness and suspicion. The officer spoke to us in an unprofessional and demeaning manner, making us feel like criminals for no reason. Despite being completely honest and compliant, they searched all our luggage and our entire car.

To make things worse, when I raised my concerns with a supervisor, there was no acknowledgment of the mistreatment—no apology, no understanding. My wife and I were left shaken and deeply disappointed.

I expect better treatment from Canadian border services, especially towards those who call this country home. This experience has left such a bad impression that I will avoid this crossing in the future. I hope others don’t have to go through what we did.

I am truck driver Around May 16 ,17 2025 I forgot my PR card at the CBSA office due to a misunderstanding but the CBS officer at Fort Erie Ontario is very nice they called me after two days and gave me my card back. Without any issues

This boarder district is straight up dangerous, all of them here in Buffalo. 1 in every 12 or so people crossing the border from erie county to Canada get seriously abused in some way by boarder police. Do not cross into Canada from western New York, it's the equivalent of playing psychological trauma russian roulette. You probably will be fine, but there's a very non zero chance you will not be ok. Normally the boarder patrol is ok, but often they are not. It's not a risk worth taking.

Speaking as an autistic adult, I have been crossing over to spend time with my now wife. Social interactions are very difficult for me, until now I have not had interactions with officers of another nation. They treat me like a criminal for my awkward behavior. The first week after I started immigration they searched my vehicle 3 times and kept telling me I was "randomly selected". On a weekly basis they send me inside to speak with someone, my anxiety disorder spikes when I go inside that building. The officers often threat me like trash, I think they are racist against United States citizens. Im planning to bring my wife to the states in the coming year, im sick and tired of the negative energy of this agency.
