Our Maltese puppy broke his toes at 9 weeks and treatment involved very little movement. As a result our pup missed out on socialization, physical activity etc. for 8 weeks. He was only able to attend one puppy class at Airdrie Puppy Pals (which was amazing) before his injury.

Once our puppy was fully healed and finished with his physiotherapy, I booked private puppy classes with Nikki. I felt that our pup needed some therapy and training as he wasn't able to interact well with other dogs, and had developed some bad habits- i.e. barking a lot.

I had a complimentary telephone conversation with Nikki to discuss my concerns. It was great that she knew and remembered our puppy from that initial training class. I decided to book 6 private training sessions with Nikki that were one hour in duration. I wanted to give our puppy the best chance of success.

Fast forward to today and I cannot believe the difference in our puppy's behaviour. He could now walk amongst a group of dogs calmly.

Nikki thought that due to the trauma of breaking his toes and all that entails, that our lil man had a fear imprint. We worked on helping him to feel safe- in the training room, and then with other dogs. Every week Nikki gave us exercises and suggested activities or training tips to practise at home.

I am in awe of Nikki's wisdom. She helped our puppy so much! Today I can take him for walks and utilizing the tips that Nikki gave me, he rarely barks. I can see his confidence when he is training and playing.

I will forever be grateful to Nikki at Airdrie Puppy Pals. Not only did she help to socialize and train our puppy but perhaps most importantly she helped me to understand him- why he does what he does and how to change it if necessary.

It's difficult to articulate just how much I appreciated Nikki and everything she did for us. She is truly amazing and we are blessed to have such talent in Airdrie.

We enrolled our 8 month golden retriever in the "mind your manners" class, and it was amazing! He (and we) learned important building blocks for subjects such as getting and holding our pups attention, impulse control, leash manners and recall among others. The classes were nice and small, and Nikki was so kind and helpful. She gave us all little tips and tricks for things we were individually having issues with. And she also encouraged us to appreciate the small wins!! Thank you Nikki!

Absolutely amazing !!! Radar has gone to 3 mind your manners classes so far ... 2 more to come . He has become way more attentive and aware of his people thanks to Nicky ! She has been able to train the people , not the dogs ... when you go, you will understand ! Dogs already understand ... people don't! 2 different languages ! Radar also had an opportunity to sit in on one of her other classes today . He's tired ! And that's because she has shown us that they need not only physical exercise but mental as well ! I always say to our other dog Maple that she's the best dog ever ... and Maple says no dad ! " all dogs are the best dogs ever!" And that's correct ! They all are ! Airdrie Puppy Pals is my Golden Retriever’s (Soo) favourite place! I say “do
you want to go to doggie daycare and see your friends?” She races to the door and is excited the whole drive there. The trust I have with Nikki and her team to look after my pup is unmeasurable. While at daycare one day, we had a medical emergency and had to stay at the hospital for a week. I just had to call, they stepped up and looked after my baby and told me not to worry. They sent me updates and I knew she was being taken such good care of. They love my pup as much as I do. I see it when they are with all the dogs. They have proven themselves to be a quality business that I trust with my beloved pet. Side note- we have also attended puppy classes/mind your manners, -!: my pup and I both learned so much! Nikki helped me with what I needed to know to be a great dog mom- she KNOWS her stuff!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

I’ve heard nothing but positive, raving reviews about Airdrie Puppy Pals, so when we added a puppy to our family, it was a no brainer to sign up for the Puppy Class and then the Minding our Manners course. The raving reviews are true! Both were such an excellent experience! You can easily tell how experienced Nikki is, and how much she loves dogs. My dog could tell too - she was obsessed with her 🙂 I felt like there was overall knowledge and training strategies, but also that Nikki was so inclusive to each dog’s needs/personalities and each dog parent’s questions. After completing the course, I felt more knowledgeable and confident with how to continue to work with my dog to be the best she can be. Highly recommend!

The staff are so friendly and they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and make sure your pup has the best day. 🤍 winnie LOVES her aunties and uncles and vibrates the whole drive there! When I open my car door Charlie Brown bolts for the daycare door so excited to start his day. He runs as fast as he can towards the staff. I sometimes wonder if he doesn’t prefer Airdrie Puppy Pals to home.

I have been using the daycare since November when my puppy was about 5 months. The socialization with other dogs of all sizes and ages has been so good for him. He is so much more social now and knows how to be respectful to the other dogs. The staff is very loving and he adores each and every one of them.

We have also used the Dog Training Courses offered. This is a fun way for you and your dog to learn together. There is time to practice and ask question. It is amazing with the right advice and methods how fast your dog (and you) can learn.

Highly recommended.

We chose to APP for the minding our manners class based off of reviews, and so glad that we did! My puppy scout learned so much, and became much better behaved, and I learned so much about how to communicate with her. Scout was always excited to go to class, and had such a great time, and she absolutely adored Nikki. 10/10 would recommend.
