Love It!! It's a great place to go, to relax. Whether it's a one-on-one with Mother Nature. Or just a place to meditate. I love the benches under the tree! Plus, there a public garden as well.

This garden has no association with Alexandra Park and it is not clear why they are using the name Alexandra. This land is owned by Lakeridge (formerly Oshawa General Hospital). The City of Oshawa allowed Lakeridge to demolish Rundle House which occupied this lot. Rundle House was a solid, architecturally significant heritage landmark building. Lakeridge broke their promise to build a cancer lodge on this site. They turned away an offer of free construction by the Home Builders Assoc. Lakeridge lied to the City and the people of Oshawa in order to get zoning and demolition permits. Lakeridge continues to land-bank lots on the west side of Simcoe St N. beween Hospital Court and the entrance to Alexandra Park. They are now using the Rundle House vacant lot as a seasonal garden hoping people will forget their deceptive actions and broken promises.

It is "abundant". Kudos to the gardeners who have turned an otherwise unremarkable patch/snippet of land beside a very busy road into a piece of green heaven. More herbs please !
