New and fun varieties and some old fashioned standbys. Helpful and knowledgeable staff ready to assist you on your growing seasons adventures. Lots of supplies and ideas for the adventurer ... this is my favorite place to purchase seeds as they have most varieties. And are guaranteed fresh for the season.

The shop itself is a fun place with a huge variety of seeds and gardening supplies - I could browse there for ages. It's frustrating that their website as of 2025 doesn't have even a basic inventory, so it's not possible to search for products before visiting. I keep thinking that surely they'll have a usable website soon, and I keep being disappointed.

They're reasonably close to the 102 Ave protected bike lane, and 2026's active transportation network expansion will bring them even closer to a safe bike route, ETA - they do now have bike parking, yay!

I’m appalled at the customer service of this place. I’m not sure if it was a manager or the owner but someone there does not know how to talk to people. They were condescending and spoke to my partner as if he were a child. I used to love this place, but this time he was were met with “It’s your plant… I mean you should know your own plant. Why can’t you just figure it out?”. I get it. It is our plant after all but all we did was ask what the next pot size up would be … terrible attitude. Never going back.

I had no idea Apache Seeds even existed. But when I was looking for supplies for my orchids, everyone in the city referred me to this place. Near Jasper Place in Edmonton in the west end, they have everything one can think of for their gardening and personal growing needs.

Apache Seeds is one of my favorite places in the city for all things plants and gardens. They also have some great wild bird supplies. Honestly, it's like a 'candy' store that you just want to wander around and explore! The staff have such a wealth of wisdom and are always warm and friendly. They've helped me solve so many plant and garden issues and I ask a LOT of questions! From my very first visit I felt welcome and at home, which as a queer, fat, disabled, non-binary femme, I don't always feel. Apache Seeds is what 'shopping local' is all about.

Love this place! Got recommended here by a Home Depot worker once they sold out of seeds and I was still searching for some and I'm glad I found this place! The location is pretty good, with a neat parking lot and a bus stop nearby if you take public transportation for convenience. The seed varieties are everywhere with unique and gorgeous floras, fruits, and what-nots that can be fit with almost anything wherever you plant it. Although I unfortunately went here with everything at the greenhouse sold out, they still offer lots of decorations, seeds, and garden supplies! I have been looking for an orchid mix and they even have it here! They also gave me some free potatoes and a free sample of an organic fertilizer when I checked out. Love this place!! 🙂
