I had walked on the path by the Nanaimo SPCA everyday, today I decided to go in and ask if I could see the animals. They said that parents could accompany me while I was there, then Angelina (so sorry if I got the name wrong!) said she could come with me and view the animals. We saw the cutest cats and Tiger was on the pipes on the roof. Amazing experience! If I don't get picked up from school, I will visit everyday that I can.

My son’s dog got bitten and the owner is not paying. Not very impressive. Where is the integrity? The dog is considered a dangerous dog thanks to my son looking out for the next innocent dog. With no help from the SPCA.

We had a great time here. We originally came to drop off some linens and towels but my child was delighted we had the chance to play with some kittens for a while in a separate room. The facility is wonderful and has great outdoor space for your dogs as well.

The Nanaimo SPCA was wonderful helping us to find the perfect cat. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Angela was wonderful, and very knowledgeable in giving advice and help in adopting "Big Dipper", now called Sam/Sammy. A few weeks later we adopted a relative of Sammy at the shelter. Her name was Aurora Borealis, now named Lily. She is a very sweet cat and a great addition to our family.

My brother Zach and I adopted Nikki the sweetest little void kittie. She was shy at first, just poking her head out of the room but after a couple of rounds around the apartment she settled in on the couch! We are very grateful to the Nanaimo SPCA for such a smooth process and for letting us visit the day prior.

My daughter had found a dog she wanted, we were told all she had to do was bring in the members of the household and the dog was hers. We set up the appointment and on that day all four of us went down to the spca only to be told the dog had been promised to someone else and besides we didn't qualify. My daughter has an incurable illness and it was recommended she get a companion dog. This is the treatment she rec'd from this horrible horrible place. We are from ottawa originally, Ottawa does not deal with the SPCA, they use the humane society. I really prefer the humane society, I don't know how many millions of dollars the province pays the SPCA but it is too much perhaps Nanaimo should talk to the humane society because the spca is awful. I bought my daughter a dog which I hated to do because I have always had rescue dogs, 4 to be exact but I guess that ends now, I am mow looking to buy a dog for myself because these people are a waste of time, space and oxygen.

So very thankful to the SPCA and staff for the returning of my daughters long lost cat! She had been missing for 8 MONTHS and we had thought the worst. We had adopted her from my daughters best friend and were unaware she was microchipped! The staff were very diligent in making sure we were caring pet parents and doing their due diligence to make sure she was coming home to a loving home! I was in tears when I first seen her! My daughter hasn't let her put of her sight since getting her back! SPCA you care and it shows! Thank you thank you thank you for bringing Fiona home!!!!❤️

Their doggy bath is a great facility . I use it to blow out my Shibas during their heavy shed season . I prefer the private bathing area to Bosley’s as my dogs can be a lil vocal about their bathing experience 😉
