I've been going here for almost 6yrs now, I find Dan to be completely knowledgeable, and his Wife and children absolutely friendly and adorable, I love being greeted by their big black dog, it's like she knows when I arrive lol, that being said I wanted to touch on a review that was left here about a year ago, about the "so called dog attack, please do not let this deter you from having a most enjoyable experience, Dans dog lives there, that is the dogs home , yes they provide a public shopping experience but let's not forget, it's their home business, when we go to someone's home/property, we must also be respectful, not all dogs get along or have proper dog manners, which could set off a working dog, also? assuming you can just bring your dog anywhere you'd like without first finding out if it's alright, taking that liberty ,with that kind of entitled mindset , we all know not ALL places are dog friendly, and if not sure just ASK, when I got there I asked if I can bring my dog out of the car, to shop with me, they were more than obliging, they even put their dog away for us, ( No doublty it had something to do with that review I read, )which was a very kind gesture, they really could've said no, but aim to please everyone who comes to the garden nursery, this family run business? works very hard providing outstanding customer service and will go above and beyond for their customers,So please? let's not assume their dog just goes around spontaneously, or unprovokingly attacking dogs , throwing words around that their dog is aggressive and unfriendly to dogs and to watch out for children .. this just criminal and uncalled for, truly a shame that, that reviewer uses scare tactics to keep families with children away? when bringing your dog anywhere where there are other dogs? is always at your own risk, not all people get along with rude and un-mannered people, and the same is also true for dogs. Come one and come all bring your kids, and a friendly reminder just talk to Dan/staff before-hand about bringing your dog out.

When you in next your hard earned money on something you are going to enjoy invest in purchasing all your plants & garden accessories from Dan & Julie at beaver dam nursery, they are hard working, honest, kind & salt of the earth. I have been coming here for over 27 years with my first purchase of over 20 rose bushes… until recently I introduced my self to the owner & his wife. Drive out to Okotoks, walk through their beautiful gardens & support an awesome family & business!!!

Picked up several trees today. Well worth the trip, made all the better by fantastic help, and knowledge provided by the owner. This will be my go to plant venue from now on. Great experience.

Awesome selection of all sorts of plants from tropicals to baskets to trees!! Almost anything you could want!! I could spend days and lots of dollars there!!

I loved this nursery. It had so much more variety than I was expecting and the prices were AMAZING for the quality we saw compared to the other three nurseries we went to the same day. Also cat.

I have gotten many perennials (rose bush, hen and chicks, berginia's, peonies, strawberries, and bleeding hearts) from here and they have all grown well and look great.

The only constructive criticism I would give is that it would be nice for plants of the same species to be placed together instead of the opposite side of the greenhouse for ease of comparison.

I will always be a repeat customer. In fact I'll be going tomorrow to get more peonies!
