We heard about Birch Island Farms and Roxane through my cousin, and we're sure glad we did! We purchased a turkey for thanksgiving and got some bacon and a chicken as well. The turkey was absolutely delicious and my mom even commented that it was the best turkey she'd ever had! The bacon was also super delicious and we can't wait to have the chicken.
We decided to purchase another turkey for Christmas because the price is absolutely worth it. While it's more expensive than what you'd pay at a grocery store, the fact that we're supporting LOCAL farmers/growers who are raising happier and healthier animals is really important to me and beyond worth the cost.
We're hoping to get a whole pig next year from Birch Island Farm-that's how much we enjoyed the bacon!
Roxane has been great to deal with each time we've purchased and it's very convenient that they offer pickup options all around Edmonton. I've definitely been telling everyone about them and can't wait to eat more of their delicious food.

We started buying eggs and various meat from Roxanne a few years ago and have come to rely on Birch Island Farm as one of our main suppliers. A couple months ago we visited their farm and were really impressed by their care and dedication to to their livestock. It is a joy to see their chickens, pigs, and cattle roam freely, and I have never seen another farm sprouting barley every day so that the animals benefit from fresh green feed even in the middle of winter! This last Christmas we made one of their turkeys, using Roxanne's turkey brine recipe, and it was a total hit. Everyone felt it was the best turkey they had ever eaten: flavorful, moist, and totally delicious. Over the years we had the same comments from family and friends about the quality of their chicken, pork, and beef. Thank you guys...we really appreciate all your effort and hard work to produce the best quality eggs and meats from humanely raised livestock!

I have yet to purchase something from Birch Island farm, that hasn’t been absolutely top notch quality and totally delicious!
I went home for Easter this year and cooked one of their Turkey’s for some of my relatives. I also brined it using their supplied recipe, and it was a hit!! In fact, it was the best Turkey I’ve had in my life, and my relatives concurred. A big thank you to Roxane and Lloyd for your great product. 👍🎉
