This is in my Top 3 restaurant experiences of all time - and I’ve been fortunate to try some amazing places
This restaurant as an inviting warmth to it that is hard to replicate. The Service and Food were top notch, on point and just plain delicious. A lot of care and consideration is taken with guests. Definitely eat here
1. Artisan Bread with flavoured butters
2. Market Catch dish of pan seared black cod with prawns, scallops, fingerling potatoes and shallots in a seafood chowder
Beautifully cooked and a seafood lovers dream dish
3. Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sandwich

With a Blue Mountain Gamay red (I ordered my wine before I decided on a dish dish, the red still worked)

I had one of the best meals of all time at this fine restaurant. The service was top notch and I will definitely go back again! The atmosphere was a little loud and bright for such exquisite food…. But all in all a very enjoyable experience.

My fiance and I had a wonderful dinner at Birchwood Restaurant after a hard day of skiing. Service was very friendly and welcoming. We admittedly were quite dehydrated and chugged a lot of water but our server was so attentive and refilled it nonstop 🤣

I was pleasantly surprised that they have rotating features. When we went, it was salmon 3 ways and it was some of the best salmon I’ve had in Canada. It was perfectly cooked and was very tasty. I like that Birchwood doesn’t overdo it with the complex flavours and lets the main ingredient do the talking. They also have some fun appies and cocktails despite not being a typical après establishment. I highly recommend the cheese fondue if you’re looking for something yummy to share.

I would like to come back again and try their other dishes next time I’m in the area:) This is definitely a small town gem and I will not be gatekeeping it!

Amazing. Simply amazing. Each dish was flavourful, tasty and distinctive. Off the grid, this as good as any 5 star Michelin restaurant we’ve been too. A hidden gem in the little town of Invermere.
