They watched our dog Zoro for 2 weeks while we went on vacation! We were sent pictures every couple days and he seemed so happy. He wasnt stuck in a cage all day. She would take him out running everyday! Would FOR SURE bring him here again.

We recently left our Lab at Black Gold Kennels during a family vacation. I cannot say enough good things about this business. From the very start, Merrilee was excellent to deal with, very responsive, so easy to work with and so accommodating. To be honest I didn't think businesses like this existed anymore.

I understand that this business was previously under different ownership and I had even read the odd negative review from that particular era. I can say without hesitation the current owners went over the top with customer service and the care of our pet.

When we dropped our dog off at the kennel, we were immediately given a tour of the facility which we found to be in excellent order and very clean. During vacation, we received update reports and photos showing how our dog was doing. We definitely recommend this place and wouldn't dream of using a different kennel. Thank you guys for taking care of Maya!!!

I love this place! Merrilee is the sweetest. You can tell she likes dogs and truly takes care of them. Both times I went to the kennel it smelled GOOD. Very clean! My 4 Goldens came home tired (from playing) clean, smelling and looking good. Very impressed. My new place for boarding!

I would highly recommend Black Gold Kennels, as it is clear Merrilee cares about all dogs and is very friendly and accomodating to their humans. The property is large and secure while the number of kennels is not very high to allow for care and attention to the dogs. There are spots for individual pups and pairs, and every spot has an outdoor area. We were confident our dogs would be in good hands, and should we need to board them again in the future, we would be happy to return. Thank you for everything!

Just for transparency, my brother and his wife own this business.
They have a great facility to board your dogs when you need. They are very professional and caring to their animals. They are also friendly and accommodating to their customers.

Left my boys here for an extended weekend stay (first time ever at boarding kennel/ daycare), and when I dropped them off I was happy to see that the facilities were nice and clean. Kennels are a good size with indoor and outdoor access with doggy door. Raised beds with clean bedding, and fresh water. The owners are definitely experienced with dogs and they will be my go-to kennel from now on! Thank you guys for taking good care of my boys!

Honestly we are so happy we brought our two chihuahuas here! It was such a weight taken off our shoulders for them to be somewhere with 24 hour surveillance, and especially in an environment where dogs are loved!
Our pups were taken care of extremely well!
We even got video, and picture updates of them all throughout the week!
I swear to God my one dog Dennis, howled the entire way home because he was sad to be leaving!
And he only does that when he's heart broken!
We know for a fact that they enjoyed themselves.
Their blankets were ever washed when we arrived to pick them up, and bags were packed. We couldn't be happier!
We will definitely be taking them back! And recommending to everyone we know for dog care. Thank you for everything! 💕 this place is HEAVEN FOR DOGS 🐕 No need to worry when you take your fur baby here!
