A very average garden center... I have to say that it would be better if the staff of Blue Grass Garden Center could spend more time to rearrange the products in the market. Because it is really messy (especially the outdoor area and the area just after the entrance). The overall price is slightly higher than other garden centers. Compared with Blue Grass Garden Center, I prefer other garden centers. And there are several outdoor children's toys on display outdoors (similar to adding and trampolines). I don't think they are samples but more like a playground for children... Then I found a problem (see the last picture). I saw a label on a pine tree in the outdoor area and found that it was the name of another garden center... I suspect that it was imported from another garden center (because I have reviewed that place before!). I am sorry if what I said is wrong. If it is true, it is recommended to deal with it! 🤔

I went to Blue Grass Calgary and had a great experience. This place is a hidden gem to those who love nature. The staff were extremely helpful, passionate, and knowledgeable. I didn’t know it was locally owned until staff told me about it. I would definitely recommend checking it out and shopping here.

It’s sometimes hit or miss when I go to bluegrass, depending on how busy they are, but there is one person I know I can depend on, Glenn!! He’s always friendly, patient and so knowledgeable!! I usually wait for him to be available instead of finding someone else. He is truly a credit to this nursery and I think so many people will agree he’s an absolute gem 💎

We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Blue Grass, primarily thanks to the incredible assistance from Linda and Barb.

Linda was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. She took her time to show us all the trees we were interested in and thoroughly answered every single one of our questions. Her expertise made us feel confident in our choices.

Additionally, we have to give an even bigger shout-out to Barb, who went above and beyond in every way. She actually stayed over an hour past her shift to help us collect all the trees we wanted to purchase. Barb took her time to meticulously educate us on the best care practices for each individual tree, ensuring we felt prepared to nurture them at home. She never once rushed us along, and her genuine consideration for us as customers was truly remarkable. It's rare to find such dedicated and customer-focused service.

I highly recommend Blue Grass, and if you get the chance, definitely seek out Linda and Barb for their exceptional help!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Blue Grass. I ordered a cubic yard of their Garden Mix soil online, and shortly after, I contacted customer service to clarify delivery. I was shocked to learn that the delivery fee would cost more than the product itself. Due to heavy rain at the time, pick-up wasn’t recommended either.

I decided to cancel the order and was told the refund would be processed within five business days. It’s now been over a month, and I still haven’t received my money back.

I’ve called several times and just keep getting transferred to the “online orders department” with no answer or call back. I’ve also emailed them with no reply.

So now I’m out the money, didn’t get the product and wasted time dealing with terrible customer service. I do not recommend this company.

We’ve had nothing but fantastic experiences with Blue Grass Nursery! Ashley is an absolute pleasure to deal with—friendly, helpful, and always makes the process smooth. Her service alone keeps us coming back. We’re currently putting in a pond in our backyard, and Blue Grass has truly been a one-stop shop for everything we need. Had a few Handy Bags delivered today and, once again, it was a seamless, 5-star experience. Highly recommend!

It's important for establishments to be respectful and accurate when representing religious symbols. Mislabeling a Ganesha fountain as simply an "Elephant fountain" simply demonstrates ignorance, arrogance a lack of respect for Hindu culture and religion. Such oversight is insensitive and completely unacceptable.
Reply to the owner's response: I have tried speaking to the manager, and the request was rejected in the past saying he is inside and is a busy person. And this same manager was seen speaking to other customers a minute later. And you're the one to talk about being civilized? This happened a few months ago. When I was here to return some of the plants that did not survive. The way they turned me back definitely showed how "civilized" they are. I have attached the photos of their plants, and also some of my other plants from other nurseries that did survive, because these "civilized" people will try to blame me for their plants dying. Note: The good ones in the photos are from other nurseries. Obviously I am not welcome to have a conversation about anything here.
Reply to the reply to the owner's response: The manager was not with another customer when I wanted to talk to him. He was seen talking to customers few minutes later than that. Do not show a different face when writing to online reviews and a different one at the store.
