Amazing shop, friendly staff, great products. Blue Ridge quickly became my go to butcher when I moved to town and I’ve never been disappointed. My most recent request was a whole strip loin, cut into 1/2” steaks and they easily accommodated in under 24hrs (I wasn’t in a rush), and happily vac packed them in pairs. Nicely dressed, with just the right amount of fat left on. If you live here, or are just in town for a few days stop by Blue Ridge Meats, you won’t be disappointed.

I ordered 10lbs of pulled pork from Nicole. The whole entire experience was great!

I was asked how many people would be attending my bbq and was given the perfect about of pork to cook! - small amount of left overs (yummy).

I asked if the pork could be cut into 2 pieces so it could be cooked in 2 crock pots and that’s exactly what she did for me 🙂

Nicole even had some great cooking tips for me to ensure the product was being cooked perfect!

I’ll be back for more meat and will recommend blue ridge to all my family and friends.

Further to my review below. I am appalled that you would accuse me of speaking to your staff as I did. That is a completely slanderous and false allegation that I respectfully ask you remove, I own several businesses and would not speak to anyone in that way. I had people with me when I called. I am prepared to take this further, as I am so shocked by your allegations and to put them in writing when you never spoke to me. It is very concerning, as an owner you would write something that way without talking to me and equally concerning you expect the client to call you, after I left a message for you to call me. You did not. Instead chose to make slanderous comments. You can see by my previous reviews I am not that person to write negative reviews. As a business owner you should have called and taken ownership. My account was factual and it went as I wrote it. The package of several very heavy steaks was held together by the price tag sticker only.... clearly not strong enough and not my fault.

Went to BR meats July 31,2025. Spent 200 on few steaks which I am ok with and bought other meat as well. The girl packaged the steaks so poorly. They were so heavy and she put them all in one package held together by the price sticker. When i go home and took them out of the cooler all the package fell apart and just by luck i managed to get them to fall back in cooler and not all over the ground.When I called the store to inform them i was shocked they packaged them ( given the cost) so poorly and then ended up all over inside my cooler but could have been on my garage floor. I was told by the manager it was my fault, i should have told the girl to separate them. I said excuse how was I to know how poorly she wrapped them and they should have known and separated them. After a call that was going around and around with the blame only on me telling me over and over it was my fault for not directing the girl to separate the steaks. I let them know I shop at butchers always and never had to tell any of them how to wrap their product. Again I was told the same. I let the manager know I was going to write a review and he really did not care. I told him an apology for how it was wrapped and taking ownership would have gone a long way for not writing a review. Then he attempted to give a poor apology which made me laugh out loud. Good thing thornbury and meaford are getting 2 new butchers as BR has lost my business. They also lost the business of those at my dinner party, when they heard what happened. I asked that the owner call me, it is now tuesday evening from thursday morning and nothing So shows how much he cares. my steaks went brown, as well they were not wrapped properly, two had to be thrown out. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS PLACE

Went to check out the selection here as I prefer to support local. I was surprised to see a great variety of meats and sausages at a reasonable price. I got some bone marrow and that’s it. Will perhaps return to try some other items.

Stopped in when I was on vacation in the area , Delicious array of quality meats. Definitely has the look of an old style butcher shop. I know I used to work in a couple. Wanted to buy some product but had no where to store it. Friendly staff. Watch out for the big cow outside.

Locally sourced, organic and Grass fed options. Variety of in-house made foods also.

Seems ok if you want something pre made or frozen. However, you can't walk in and ask for something to be cut for you. They won't do it.
