Loved this winery. Modern, classy vibe and they had live music on the weekend. We got a wine flight, the cheese board and the meat board, and the food blew us away. The servers were also great. Will be back!

Edited to add: I gave winery management additional details about my experience. They replied with a thorough and thoughtful response, providing likely reasons for the service misses, all of which make sense to me (new staff, recent move of the cellar into the restaurant, various licensing requirements). I'm amending my rating to account for the excellent outreach and follow up by Andi.

Original review: The winery and vineyards are beautiful, and most of the wines we tried were delicious. The young man in the food truck was kind and gracious, and the chicken sandwich alone was worth the hour-long drive.

But, I will never go back because the winery staff were shockingly awful. It's not often that I'm made to feel so unwelcome and unworthy of someone's time, but every single one of the women working there succeeded gloriously. They take the term "wine snob" to a whole new level.

Viognier-not everyone makes a Viognier. Fruit forward + Meyer lemon. the weather, the tents and couches, the scenery – all superb. The dining area looks like a great place for a date night. The young man in the food truck was very helpful. It’s not often you see, someone run to get back into position to serve you. Unexpectedly, management showed up with pan baked buns and roasted garlic. Just the gesture and attention by servers made the wine even Sweeter.

We came here to welcome our friends. They mentioned there was event at the inside so they couldn’t let us in but heated the area outside instead. We went to the winter garden area with our baby. After about 10 minutes, we got cold and asked the waitress, Charlotte, who was taking care of us, to close the curtains. She said okay at first, but then said they couldn’t close them.

We waited a bit longer and asked them to turn on the overhead heaters, but they said they couldn’t increase the heat further. As a last attempt, we requested them to turn on the idle heaters, but they said they couldn’t turn them on for the garden area. Nothing was done.

It was officially a disgrace. We left without eating much of our wine order, cheese plate, and other dishes. It was the worst service I’ve ever received. They practically kicked us out of the place. Don’t ever choose this spot to spend a nice day, as they can easily ruin it.

What a hidden gem! This winery is such a good find in the Fraser Valley, situated on a beautiful property with an incredible house and tasting room on site. When you arrive, you have the option to go into the main tasting room and have wine with small plates, or sit out in their "picnic" area and split a bottle of wine and order food from the onsite food truck. We'll be back for sure and this may be our new go to winery in the valley!

Context:
Wine lover with 1000+ wines in our collection. We are members of several wine clubs and travel for food and wine vacations frequently. Overall spend on food and wine is above 60k a year.

Pros:
- Winemaker is talented particularly the French side
- scenery
- proximity to cities
- not much competition in the area except for South Surrey
- Food in the kitchen is very good
- outdoor live music is great and fun atmosphere

Neutral:
- vineyard is young and they source from outside
- pricing has come down but originally it was near the highest prices in BC
- in abbottsford

Cons:
- Unwelcoming staff
- identity crisis with some staff members thinking they are Martin’s lane or checkmate … or Napa… but come across as if they recently left their high school job at the Abbottsford cactus club; if you want to be higher end then deliver service appropriate to it (high end customers are demanding and if you set expectations high then expect the return from your highest value customers) or … go with the vibe at your events that are casual fun with elevated wines. We’ve been there about 5 times now (from when you opened and lastly in Dec 2024… same experience). I don’t think you have the management team or hiring options to continue with the former but 🤷‍♂️
- difficult to spend money or join club or book events with the general attitude

I am mixed on recommending this winery. The wine is good but not near the best in the BC region or even south Surrey area. The food is good but not the best in the area. The events are fun, but interacting with the staff is off-putting.

Management needs to assess their identity and service levels for 5 stars.

I’d be open to trying another experience but patience has run thin wasting my time.
